TLC Support Services provide high quality social care to people living in their own homes

More people, particularly those with complex needs, are able to remain living in their own homes due to the availability of domiciliary care services. We can offer advice and guidance in order to help to design an individualised plan of care/support to meet physical, social, psychological or spiritual needs. TLC Support Services operate in and around Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire which will i

nclude; Kingswood, North Nibley, Charfield, Hillesley, Wickwar, Hawkesbury, Cam, Coaley, Dursley and Uley. Our services can be provided 7 days a week between 07:00 – 22:00 Hours with the option of either a waking night or sleep-in between 22:00 – 07:00 Hour if required.

🎤 Last week, as a result of our Outstanding CQC rating, we were interviewed by BBC Radio Gloucestershire which aired this morning (sorry forgot to shout about it sooner!!)

📸 Mel and Lisha relished the photo opportunity and Tris stayed behind the lense - we can confirm that he has a face for radio 😜

⭐️ We are all still on a high from receiving this recognition, as it's a true testament to the hard work our team put in to enable people to remain living well at home!

📣 Here's Kirstie!

⭐️ After joining the TLC team back in September 2025, and now having successfully completed her Care Certificate, Kirstie is taking on her next challenge of the Level 2 Diploma in Care.

💚 Kirstie has made tremendous progress since becoming a TLC Care Worker and is a popular member of the team and well liked by her colleagues and the people we support.

📣 We recently had an inspection from our regulatory body - the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and we are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a new overall rating of

⭐️ OUTSTANDING

❤️ This is the highest rating that can be awarded and we are so proud of our little team and everything they do to provide such a caring service in the community.

👏 The inspector recognised our care services as 'exceeding' the standards and highlighted ways that our team go above and beyond expectations!

When we set up TLC Support Services in 2015, our aim was always to provide high quality care to local people who wanted to stay living in their own homes - the place they love the most!

This week, after turning away several requests for care due to very limited capacity, one enquirer said we were "victims of our own success" and she was disappointed that we couldn't offer support to her mum as we had been recommended by several people she knew.

Being a small company, we can often find it difficult to provide care and support at short notice, but we know that this is generally when it is needed and we wish we could have extra team members waiting in the background to leap into action at a moment's notice, but this just isn't possible.

We want to remain a small team so that people we support have continuity of care provided by regular carers who can develop positive relationships and a thorough understanding of their needs, but we also know that we need to respond to the demands of our community, so it's time to recruit!!

🎄The end of a festive week for Team TLC!

🥂 Monday was our Christmas meal at The Swan Hotel - really lovely to have the whole team present! A reminder for next year - can everyone remember to remove their delivery address from the secret Santa gifts as that kind of defeats the object ...you know who you are (Cherilyn Crewe!) 😜

🎅 Thursday was our Christmas party for our service users and members of our local community at Wotton Baptist Church. A huge thanks to thewottoncoffeeshop for supplying us with homemade mince pies and cakes! And a big shout out to all the local businesses and individuals that gave donations for our raffle ❤️

🎤 We had entertainment from Annie-Vintage Singer, carols from the amazingly talented choir from The British School, and an opportunity for some Christmas crafting!

🏡 With more and more older people choosing to remain living in their own homes, home care services are in greater demand than ever before.

❤️ We are so lucky to have such a dedicated team delivering care and support to our service users, but demand is increasing so we are looking for additional part time team members to join us.

🤩 £13+ per hour with travel time, mileage, and all training time paid. Opportunities to gain vocational qualifications and career progression. A driving licence is essential for this role and overtime available.

💊 Some of the team attended our Safe Administration of Medication Training at our office in Wotton at the start of this week.

🧐 The ultimate aim, is to enable people to self-administer their own medication, so we consider the options of what support we can give to promote this, but this isn't possible for everyone, so we need to know what we can do to promote safety.

✅ Lots of topics covered including Consent, Dignity, Safeguarding, Record Keeping, Data Protection, Health & Safety, and even a bit of Latin thrown in for good measure!
