TLC Support Services provide high quality social care to people living in their own homes

More people, particularly those with complex needs, are able to remain living in their own homes due to the availability of domiciliary care services. We can offer advice and guidance in order to help to design an individualised plan of care/support to meet physical, social, psychological or spiritual needs. TLC Support Services operate in and around Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire which will include; Kingswood, North Nibley, Charfield, Hillesley, Wickwar, Hawkesbury, Cam, Coaley, Dursley and Uley. Our services can be provided 7 days a week between 07:00 – 22:00 Hours with the option of either a waking night or sleep-in between 22:00 – 07:00 Hour if required.

🏡 With more and more older people choosing to remain living in their own homes, home care services are in greater demand than ever before.

❤️ We are so lucky to have such a dedicated team delivering care and support to our service users, but demand is increasing so we are looking for additional part time team members to join us.

🤩 £13+ per hour with travel time, mileage, and all training time paid. Opportunities to gain vocational qualifications and career progression. A driving licence is essential for this role and overtime available.

💊 Some of the team attended our Safe Administration of Medication Training at our office in Wotton at the start of this week.

🧐 The ultimate aim, is to enable people to self-administer their own medication, so we consider the options of what support we can give to promote this, but this isn't possible for everyone, so we need to know what we can do to promote safety.

✅ Lots of topics covered including Consent, Dignity, Safeguarding, Record Keeping, Data Protection, Health & Safety, and even a bit of Latin thrown in for good measure!

❤️ Last Saturday, some of the TLC team got dressed up and headed to a charity ball in aid of MND Association and Talk Club.

🍸 A fantastic evening for 2 worthy causes, with delicious food, tasty cocktails, and great company!

👍🏻 Big thanks to CollaBar8 Mobile Bars & Events for organising a fab event, and an even bigger thanks to the rest of the TLC team for holding the fort!

📣 Lisha Hopkins joined our team as a care worker in 2020, and now here she is in her current role as Deputy Manager (yes, this was another crucial moment from August 2024 that I forgot to document on social media...I promise I'm trying to be better this year!!).

🏅 Lisha has a great understanding of the needs, wishes, and preferences of the people we support, and works hard to ensure that everyone has the service they want.

📝 Our latest management meeting was at Wotton Farm Shop and we set plans for 2025!

🎉 HNY to one and all!

📣 So, my last post indicated that I would be better at updating our social media, and here we are 8 days in to 2025 and this is my 1st post (must try harder!!).

🏆 For those of you that don't know, this is Emma R and we are pleased to confirm that she has successfully completed her probation period with us, incorporating her Care Certificate with all of the mandatory training required for her role.

🗓️ 2025 will see Emma commence a QCF Level 3 in Care as well as undertaking additional training to keep her skills up-to-date so that she can continue to meet the needs of the people she supports in our community! Well done Emma!

Yesterday, our little staff team met up for a Christmas afternoon tea, and it was pointed out to me how rubbish I've been at keeping our social media updated - so I will make that my New Year's resolution!!
