Due to demand from members, we have decided to extend the length of the session, so it is now 10am to 12pm every Tuesday during term time. After singing (10-11am) we will be enjoying a cuppa with another physical and therapeutic activity - gardening! When the weather is more consistent, we will be spending much of the time outdoors - like we did last week when we planted potatoes, primroses and creating the planter for the new wormery in our community wildlife and sensory garden. This session is available online or face to face. All welcome, you can join for either the singing or gardening, or both sessions and it is completely free. Instructions for zoom at 10am are below:-

Some more about Singing For Lung Health (Chirk)

We are a community group who meet once a week at Black Park Chapel near Chirk. The sessions are also accessible online through Zoom.

Our Singing Leader has been trained by the British Lung Foundation (now renamed Asthma and Lung UK) to provide therapeutic singing sessions for people with lung conditions.
The sessions are open to all regardless of singing ability! At present we meet on Tuesdays at 10am. Sessions last about an hour. Anyone wanting to improve their breathing and maximise their lung power is welcome to take part.

Breathing and physical exercises form part of the activities, along with vocal/voice warm-up exercises and accessible songs, chosen to reflect the tastes of group members.
Do come and join us!
