Green Goddess-detox and repair, is a blend of organic plant and mineral powders designed to assist your body in removing the build-up of toxins and heavy metals that have accumulated over the years, whilst also supplying essential nutrients to reduce inflammation, aid the repair of damaged cells and support the healthy function of your body. This product is the starting point for almost everyone (see *contraindications below) new to our products. Created primarily as a smoothie mix, it is easy to make, extremely versatile and can be enjoyed at any time of day, also suitable as a nutritious meal replacement as part of a calorie-controlled diet. Our recommended basic method: simply put your smoothie mix in a blender, add a glass of your favourite plant-based milk or filtered/mineral water, a banana and a little honey or Maple syrup to taste, blend, and enjoy! Optional extras/alternatives include almost any plant-based product you prefer, fruit juice, fruit, nuts, seeds, organic oats, peanut butter etc. Alternatively, it can be added to porridge, plant-based yoghurt, or even to your healthy plant-based baking recipes, (we love to add it to our protein cakes) etc.
Recommended use is initially for 2-3 months after which we advise moving on to GaleForce10, returning to Green Goddess for a month once or twice a year, dependant on other lifestyle choices and particularly after sustained periods of indulgence e.g. Christmas. It is also highly beneficial to take for 1 or 2 days after any kind of activity which may lead to high levels of toxins. Great for a hangover after a night out!
So why is it necessary to start with detox and repair? Whilst there are so many amazing and wonderful things to be grateful for in our 21st century existence, all those good things come at a cost. The food we eat, the air we breathe, the technology we use, cosmetics, personal care and cleaning products all contribute, in varying degrees, to a build-up of toxins and heavy metals in our bodies.... and, over a period of time the cost to our health and wellbeing can be extremely high.
Like any incredible machine, when you are putting in good fuel/oil they keep working well, however, if you start using inferior, contaminated products, it doesn’t take too long before it starts to cough and splutter a bit...... should you choose to ignore those warning signs, after a while, things start to knock and creak and whine, it takes a little longer to get going in the morning, the acceleration loses its edge and eventually, well it just stops. Hopefully, you would act after those initial warning signs, and any mechanic worth their salt will tell you, at this point no amount of good quality fuel/oil is going to solve the problem, you have to change the filters to allow it to get through and do its job properly.
Our bodies are truly awesome creations that work relentlessly around the clock, removing unwanted substances and repairing the damage caused by them. But, like the engine, our filters eventually start to get blocked, heavy metals enter our cells and prevent vital nutrients getting in, our cells are no longer getting the fuel they need to do their job, slowly but surely, they are starving to death, becoming less and less able to function effectively and toxins are no longer removed swiftly and efficiently. The result.... our bodies become acidic causing inflammation, pain and disease (dis-ease); reduced immune response and/or auto-immune disease, premature aging, fatigue, brain fog, digestive disorders such as bloating, cramps, IBS, Crohn's disease, inflammatory responses such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's, dementia, cancer and more.
So just like with the engine, we may spot the warning signs early, we may think “ok, I need to take better care of myself” and switch to a healthier lifestyle, and we can waste small fortunes, years, or even decades flooding our bodies with great nutrients without realising that our filters are blocked, meaning our cells are unable to absorb those nutrients properly and the majority are quite simply flushed down the toilet.
