A centre for children and young people with disabilities in Wrexham, North Wales.

Dynamic is a registered charity providing support for children and young people with disabilities in Wrexham, North Wales. Dynamic offers a range of services for children and young people with diagnosed disabilities aged 8-25 years. These include: after-school and weekend activity sessions, a participation group, nurture programme, advocacy service and a social group for young adults. Dynamic also

provide support to parents/carers with regular support groups, well-being treatments and regular family events. In addition, the Dynamic signing choir, Signing Sensations offer our young people a chance to practise twice weekly and perform within the local community at a variety of public and private events. Happy S A T U R D A Y Dynamic Followers 🍕

Week 2 of our Summer Programme is done and dusted and it’s been another week packed with fun, food, and friendship! Brace yourselves for a whole load more of wonderful photos.

We’ve been out and about, learning new skills and making memories:

❤️ …travelling to Chester on public transport like pros.

🧡 …getting creative in the kitchen with homemade pizzas and tasty cakes.

💛 …enjoying the sunshine in local parks and getting active with friends.

❤️ …knocking down pins in some friendly games of bowling.

🧡 …and following the buzzing clues on Tŷ Pawb’s Bee Trail, which runs through Wrexham city centre until the end of August! 🐝

We’re halfway through the summer fun already and there’s still so much more to come!

Happy Friday Dynamic Followers 😀

Was anybody watching S4C last night? Well at 9pm we were glued to our screens watching none other than Wrexham AFC player, Lili Jones on Am Dro.

Lili took part in a walking challenge with other Welsh celebrities to raise money for charity. She absolutely smashed it with a perfect score for her scenic walk up Dinas Bran and her picnic.

Well done Lili, you were amazing and we are very grateful that you’ve chosen to donate the £1,000 to Dynamic. Diolch 🥰

Happy S A T U R D A Y Dynamic Followers ☀️🎉

Week One of our Summer Programme is officially done and what a week it’s been!

There’s so many photos, but we’ve just packed in so much this week including:

❤️ …a pamper session including manicures, Story Massage and a relaxing visit from massage therapist Natalie at Just breathe.

🧡 …trips to the cinema and bowling at Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre.

💛 …exploring our fantastic local play opportunities in the Wolf’s Den at Erddig NT/YG, the playground at The Plassey and the parks at Bellevue and Ellesmere Lake.

❤️ …an amazing visit to local outdoor resource Wild we are where our young people participated in bushcraft activities and learned how to make s’mores.

🧡… and of course, loads of picnics, loads of sensory play opportunities and loads of members of our Signing Sensations teaching their friends their favourite songs to sign (doing you proud Miss Amy, Miss Emma & Miss Mandy 🤩)

It’s been a fantastic start to the summer and we’re only just getting going…

Happy Thursday Dynamic Followers😊

Have you heard of ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder)?
ARFID is characterised by a pattern of eating that avoids certain foods or food groups entirely and/or is restricted in quantity. Avoidant and restrictive eating cannot be due to lack of available food, or cultural norms. The condition is generally unheard of...almost.

But one of our young people who has this condition is on a mission to spread awareness. One of which has been publishing a colouring book for children who suffer with ARFID to help them feel positive and to explore their feelings about food and eating. We are immensely proud of Macy's achievements and her willpower to achieve and accomplish by not letting her disability define her! Macy has also Crocheted a hedgehog (Hope) for our young people to hold and feel comfortable for a project we are working on - THANK YOU!! 🤩🦔

Happy S A T U R D A Y Dynamic Followers 😊

We are getting so excited for the start of our Summer Programme next week and we wanted to share a few helpful reminders before we kick things off on Monday!

❤️ Please remember to send your child with a packed lunch and a drink for full day sessions. Don’t worry - snacks and extra drinks will be provided by Dynamic throughout the day.

🧡 If your child uses a wheelchair, walker or mobility aid (even just occasionally), please make sure it comes with them to their sessions. We’ll be out and about lots this summer!

💛 We’re ready for all kinds of weather. We’ve got plenty of shade and wet weather plans in place. Please apply sun cream before sessions on sunny days, and pack a rain coat when needed.

❤️ Our group supervisors will double check medication details at drop off. Please ensure any required medication is correctly labelled and in its original packaging.

🧡 Dynamic will provide money for treats and activities like ice creams at the beach, arcade fun, or a sweet treat at Ty Pawb! If any young people bring additional money, please make sure it’s kept securely and that staff are informed of the amount at handover.

We can’t wait to make more amazing memories together this summer. Roll on Summer Programme! ☀️🎉

Happy Wednesday Dynamic Followers 😀

We were recently visited by Sasha who will be tackling Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) very soon to help raise money for Dynamic. As always with challenges like this, the date is weather dependent but hopefully during August.

Sasha's teenage brother, Josh, has Down Syndrome and is currently on a waiting list to access a Dynamic service. She says she knows how beneficial this support will be for his independence, social skills and development. Sasha also works in a local specialist school and says she sees first-hand the good work that is done by Dynamic, supporting so many children and their families.

Happy S A T U R D A Y Dynamic Followers 😎

This week marked the final week of our 2024–25 after school and weekend term-time groups. What a year it’s been!

We’ve loved every minute, from new adventures and life skills to friendships, laughter and special memories along the way.

To celebrate, we’ve enjoyed sunny end-of-term garden parties, complete with games, dancing, and delicious treats shared with friends.

We’ll be back in just a few weeks for Dynamic’s Summer Programme, and for our friends not joining us over summer, we can’t wait to welcome you back when term-time groups return in September.

Happy F R I D A Y Dynamic Followers ☀️

Due to the amber weather warning and the extreme heat forecast this weekend, we’ve made the decision to cancel all Saturday groups for the safety and wellbeing of our young people, staff and volunteers.

Parents have been informed through our Famly app.

We know this will be disappointing, but keeping everyone safe and comfortable is our top priority.

Please stay cool, drink plenty of water, and avoid too much time in the sun. 🚰☀️🌡️
