It is an immense honour and privilege we are able to announce the expansion of our expert military medicine team with the introduction of retired Brigadier Robin Simpson joining Grosvenor Medical in the capacity as our Director of Military Medicine.

This significant appointment illustrates the continued commitment Grosvenor Medical makes in pursing our sub-specialist areas of major interest and our passion for veteran healthcare and wellbeing.

Brigadier Simpson has forged a truly impressive military and medical career having actively served in His Majesty’s Armed Forces for 35 years. Brigadier Simpson remains fully licensed by the General Medical Council as a GP in civilian clinical practice for the National Health Service.

The appointment of Director of Military Medicine is of great significance and marks a milestone in the development of our specialist medico-legal services provided at Grosvenor Medical.

**Private COVID-19 Testing**

We have made access to private COVID-19 testing as simple and as convenient as possible. There is no requirement for a clinical referral and anyone can choose to access our private pathology services directly, regardless of whether they have symptoms or not.

We often perform SARS-CoV-2 antigen swab testing for individuals requiring a negative COVID result prior to traveling abroad and for occupational purposes.

Our COVID antigen testing is available as in clinic and at home testing options.

With swab result available in less than 24 hours we guarantee a responsive service dedicated to ensuring your test results are relayed to you at the very earliest opportunity without delay.

We fully guarantee that all of our tests are approved by PHE (Public Health England) and MHRA (Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) each and every sample is professionally analysed in UK medical laboratories with full UKAS / IEC & ISO accreditations.

Grosvenor Medical will continue to avoid rapid point of care testing due to the lack of regulation and validity of results obtained using such rudimentary testing kits and techniques.

We also accommodate antibody testing requests and provide the gold standard venous blood testing using the government approved Abbott Laboratories immunoassay. All venous blood samples require collection with one of our specialist doctors, nurses or phlebotomists.

**Breat Implant Update**
You may have seen reports that breast implants manufactured by Allergan have been currently withdrawn from the market following concerns that a specific variety of implant may be associated with a rare cancer known as Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL).
We would like to reassure all of our patients that Grosvenor Medical has never used the variety of implants currently under investigation (Allergan’s Natrelle® Implants with a textured surface called Biocell®).
