** CASE STUDY** 8 year old event horse

This is my TB event horse Mattie, having just finished his first season at Intermediate with Otis Eventing. He has had chiropractic and Stammer kinetic treatment roughly every 6 weeks throughout the season (& previous seasons of course)! He doesn’t really have any problems, but I just see him to make sure he’s at his best.

I’m delighted to say that after his post season check he feels better than ever! Chiropractic works on the nervous system, so the body learns from each treatment in order to move more “correctly”. This works in tandem with the stammer kinetics which are basically Pilates type exercises that help improve posture and stability of the spine. This has particularly helped Mattie who tended to be a bit weak over his lower back and he used to get sore here in the past.

He’s had a hard season- he is naughty so has to do a lot of working in! Also he suffered an unfortunate fall in August at Blair. However, his body is able to cope with these things now and doesn’t need much help to get back to “normal” should a little soreness arise.

It’s not that often I get to follow up a horse as much as this or use the treatments in a more preventative way and I may be biased, but I am delighted with the results! Happy holidays Mattie ⭐️
