Have you marked today's Autumn Equinox in any particular way?

Thinking about what seeds have come to fruition and what you have achieved (or harvested) this year or over the last few years, that are now coming together, can be a useful reflection at this time of year βœ¨πŸπŸ‚

Well done for what you have done, and what you have achieved, no matter how big or small πŸ˜πŸ’š sometimes it's only when we look back that we realise how far we have come.

As we prepare for the winter months, the physical body may begin to push out and let go of what we don't need, just like the trees. That often means colds and coughs.

At this time of year we can work to support the liver, (I often take milk thistle, but this year I'm taking a homeopathic liver support), or we may choose to do detoxes, cleanses or flushes ...or the body may decide that for us with a cold or flu.

Give yourself time and rest to recover...I also like to think when I am experiencing symptoms, that it is my body's way of becoming stronger. Often when I come through it, I can feel better than I did before, sometimes more energised. (it wasn't always that way as I had ME, so I empathise if you struggle!)

At first sign of symptoms I take high dose vitamin c, zinc, include garlic and onions in my diet for immunity, ginger in tea...if I feel chesty or have a cough NAC is a supplement that I find helpful, as well as mullein in a tincture or a tea and sometimes homeopathic remedies. A warm (raw local) honey, freshly squeezed orange and lemon drink is also soothing. I ask my body what it needs. Scaling busy-ness right down can be just what your body needs in terms of self care πŸ₯°πŸ™πŸ™Œ

Let food be thy medicine.

There are lots of things we can take or do, to strengthen ourselves naturally, but if you need it, check in with your healthcare provider for more support.
