I am a married 52 year old lawyer with two teenage boys. After my two va**nal births and with age, I noticed reduced sensation during in*******se and slight leaks when doing strenuous exercise. My children were both 4.6kg (10lbs) so I knew that this was not uncommon and started to look into treatments that might help but I was very embarrassed and nervous to speak to a medical provider. When it comes to medical interventions, I am very conservative and thorough in my research. I read everything I could find on the subject and carefully considered the pros and cons of each treatment. I settled on Thermiva as I was not a candidate for surgery and had reservations about the use of lasers.I live in London and sent out about ten exploratory emails asking various providers about Thermiva. Only three bothered to reply, one of which was Dr Griffiths. Dr Griffiths from the beginning of this process has been wonderful. I was nervous speaking about such a sensitive issue but he immediately put me at ease with his professionalism, clear knowledge and expertise on the subject. He is a fountain of knowledge on women’s s*xual health, menopause, pelvic floor health & hormones.I had hundreds of questions, worries and concerns and he patiently answered them all until I was sure that Thermiva was for me. He really could not have done more. When I met Dr Griffiths in person, I knew I was in good hands the moment I saw him. He was kind, professional and very keen to offer advice on how to strengthen my pelvic floor, hormone & menopause related issues and s*xual function. The Thermiva treatment itself was very effective. It was painless- felt like a warm internal massage with some pressure. Dr Griffiths constantly checked in with me to make sure I was tolerating the treatment. The results on the outer lips of my va**na was immediate. It looked younger and more lifted right away. Internally, even after the first treatment, I could feel a difference in the tightness, making s*x much improved. I feel more confident and because the lubrication and tightness are improved, I feel better in the bedroom. The effects on the pelvic floor strength was immediate and even a year later I do not experience leaks while jogging, doing aerobics or spin class.I have just seen Dr Griffiths for my yearly top up and again the results have been immediate. I recommend him unreservedly.

I was wondering if you could please pass this email on to Mr Griffiths please. It has now been nearly a year since I have had my hysterectomy and I wanted to just send him and his team a massive, massive thank you. It was simply the best decision I have ever made. It has increased my quality of life ten fold and has made everything so much easier and better. My headaches have greatly reduced. I also used to suffer from mastitis and this has gone away another thing to be very grateful for. My bowel issues have got much better and I can drink happily now without needing to make sure that a bathroom is close to hand. I can also drink later in the evenings too without fear of needing to get up for the toilet. I wake up now without feeling foggy and confused and the amount of time it takes me to be with things in the morning has greatly reduced. Also how nice is it now not to have to worry about carrying towels and extra clothing, to not have to constantly be on guard. It's also so lovely to not have the pain and debilitation I had whenever my periods came around. I am now so much happier, we can go out and do whatever we want now without fear of accidents or headaches. This operation has been a god send and it's all thanks to Mr Griffiths and team for agreeing to help me. Thanks will never cover how much gratitude I feel towards the team and I will forever be grateful.

From a patient in our London Clinic:

So, the morning after the night before - when I had the thermiva treatment up at
Two words - game changer!
As I walked back last night I was aware for the first time in 5 years that I could actually walk without my l***a getting in the way! No irritation - and today as I stroll back from a coffee with a friend - the same! No pain, no rubbing, no feeling the need to rearrange myself!
Big relief.
Thank you so much Marta - the very lovely pelvic floor physio who did the treatment for me ( and listened to me whinge for 30 mins) and Gynaecolgist David Griffiths for assessing me as suitable for it. (Assessment is key!)
Am looking forward to the long term results to come!

Another happy ThermiVa patient

I just wanted to say - THANK YOU.
For the first time in about 5 years I walked home after the treatment and wasn’t aware of where my l***al lips were! Freedom!
That is a big thing!

I was very apprehensive and nervous about having the ThermiVa treatment in view of my past history of prolapse and repair. I am so glad I decided to try the treatment and from the first one I noticed a considerable difference in how tight and lifted my va**na and pelvic floor felt. Also I suffer with va**nal dryness and this has also improved and in*******se is much more comfortable. I have now completed my course of three treatments and I feel more confident and happy with the outcome. Thank you so much David for your valued guidance and support and professional care throughout. It is much appreciated

1 in 5 women will have a hysterectomy at some point. The most common age to have one is between 40-50, however many women outside of this age group have one. Pleased to share this very positive post. 💜

📷 Yesterday was a big day, I got a hysterectomy. I have kept my ovaries but everything else, along with the last of my endometriosis, is gone.
So today is day one of my recovery and hopefully the end of decades of physical pain.
Even though I made the choice not to have children there will always be a hole in my heart where they could have lived. Since making the decision to have the surgery the hole has felt bottomless and dark, but I am SO grateful for my ‘framily’ and the children in my life.
I’m also so incredibly grateful for my amazing friends, my family and my amazing husband . Thank you for getting me this far and for your support in the weeks ahead.

When I was but a girl of 39, I thought that the biggest life hurdle I had to face was the terrifying prospect of turning 40. But it was fine. An absolute breeze. Even though I hadn’t ticked any of the societal boxes I was meant to have: no husband; no children that I know of. I remember throwing a...
