Handwashing is an important part of reducing the spread of illnesses such as colds, viruses, COVID and flu.

You should wash your hands:
- after using the toilet or changing a nappy
- before and after handling raw foods like meat and vegetables
- before eating or handling food
- after blowing your nose, sneezing or coughing
- before and after treating a cut or wound
- after touching animals, including pets, their food and after cleaning their cages

If you're eligible for the COVID and/or flu vaccine this Autumn, you will receive an invite from your GP Practice. The quickest and easiest way to make an appointment is via the booking link in the SMS.

If you need support with making or changing an appointment, please contact your GP practice.

Please note, self-referral is only for women who want to book their first pregnancy appointment. Self-referral forms are not shared with doctors or nurses, so if you have a health concern or feel worried about your pregnancy for any reason, you should contact the community midwifery team directly. You can reach Coventry Community Midwives on 024 7696 7424, and Rugby Community Midwives on 01788 663184.

Time for young people is The Children's Society's free emotion wellbeing support service for young people aged 10-25 who live or study in Coventry or Warwickshire.

Trained practitioners can help you if you're feeling unhappy or finding things difficult.

Whatever challenges you're dealing with, you won't be judged. Instead you'll get the tools you need to understand emotions, build better relationships and feel more resilient.

- Fridays: Nuneaton Town Centre

*Please note, the last session will start 45 minutes before the end of the drop-in.
