Today is The Lion's Gateway

The Lion's Gate portal opens once a year on 8/8. This is a time when the sun is in Leo, Orion's belt, the star Sirius, as well as the earth all line up. In numerology, 8 also carries a lot of significance, so two 8s when August 8 (8/8) happens, it gives us a potent opportunity to manifest our deepest dreams and desires and release anything into the portal that doesn’t serve us.

Reiki is essentially Mindfulness. “Mindfulness is a quality of mind that knows what is happening as it is happening. It is intentional awareness of the present moment”.
I’m just reading Charlie Morley’s fantastic book Wake Up To Sleep which describes Mindfulness as being in and of itself, great for lessening stress and trauma, because when awareness is present, the mind naturally comes into focus and balance. This balance then allows any stressed-out or traumatized aspects of the mind to be gradually reintegrated - something they can and will do naturally when the mind is full of awareness. His book contains powerful yet simple practices to transform stress and trauma.
