🦉 What an unforgettable Monday!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Evie’s Owls, and it turned into the most magical afternoon. Everyone loved learning more about these incredible birds - and of course giving them a gentle fuss.

We were introduced to a beautiful barn owl and a charming tawny owl, each with their own personality and story. Such a special experience for all of us, and one we won’t forget anytime soon.✨♥️

As we wave goodbye to the old year, we would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful residents, families, friends, and amazing staff.

Thank you for the laughter, the kindness, the trust, the support, and for sharing so many special moments with us, from smiles and stories to celebrations and everyday wins.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Together, you make our home a place full of warmth, care, and a little bit of fun every day ✨

Melton House Care Home Marked Remembrance Day ❤️

On last Sunday, we gathered for a heartfelt Remembrance Day ceremony to honour the bravery and sacrifice of all who served. The service was made truly special by George Mills, an inspiring young student from Wymondham High School, who led parts of the ceremony with incredible passion and respect.

George proudly wore his great-grandparents’ medals as he recited In Flanders Fields, shared the Exhortation and Kohima Epitaph, and joined residents in a moving Two Minute Silence. His love for military history and his genuine admiration for our veterans touched everyone present.

A huge thank you to George for bringing such meaning to today’s tribute, and to our residents who always remind us why remembrance is so important. 🌺

We will remember them.

Today we are celebrating the beautiful Indian Onam, a day about calmness and celebrating the world around you 💐. Our wonderful staff have filled the home with colour, love, and joy as they decorated with stunning flower arrangements and traditional designs 🌼🌺🌿.

The residents and team were all looking forward to joining in the celebrations together,
a true moment of culture, community, and happiness ❤️.

Melton House Earns “Good” Overall Rating with Outstanding Results in PAMMS Inspection ✨

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news! Melton House, has been awarded a “Good” overall rating following a recent PAMMS inspection by Norfolk County Council on 31st March 2025.

Even more impressively, we received “Excellent” ratings in seven key areas, a true testament to the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our amazing team!

Yesterday was Earth Day, and our residents were out making a difference!🌎🌱

We’re so proud of everyone at Melton House Care Home who rolled up their sleeves and took part in a community litter pick to help keep our planet clean and green.

It was a lovely way to spend time together, give back to the local area, and show that every little action counts when it comes to caring for the Earth.
