✨Prioritising you: A Reflection for Mental Health Awareness Week ✨

Last night’s class began, as always, with our circle of connection — that special time to check in, share, and gently unload. We spoke honestly about how we’re feeling. Some finding little pockets of energy, while most were simply exhausted. Some carrying that all-too-familiar weight of mum guilt — for those already in the thick of motherhood.

Taking time for ourselves is never easy, but it truly matters. It matters now, in this season of preparation, as we move toward the trimester that few people talk about — the one after birth. The one where everything shifts, and no part of who we are is left untouched.

Learning to prioritise ourselves isn’t selfish; it’s essential. It helps us find strength in the lonely moments, in the boredom, in the potential waves of postpartum depression. It equips us to speak honestly with our partners or those close to us, to name our needs, and to value ourselves — not just as mothers, but as whole, deserving women.

There’s no perfect fix for mum guilt. It shows up because we care deeply. But maybe, just maybe, we can acknowledge it, then meet it with gratitude — gratitude for a love so fierce, it reshapes our hearts in the most unexpected ways.

These classes are more than just movement — they’re where mum friendships begin. Finding your group, your people, can make all the difference. You don’t have to do this alone. 💛
