Yoga classes are included as part of the Rush Active Membership. Off-Peak Membership £23.50 per month
On-Peak Membership £25 per month
Or they are £6.00 per class.

LAUNCH WEEK is next week (4th) and all classes are FREE….plus, if you’re not a member yet, you can sign up with NO JOINING FEE 🥳🥳

This month I took over managing Rush Active Gym at The Hub in Wythall where I have been an instructor for the last 6 years.

This is a community that I love and am hugely passionate about. The team and I are working hard to revamp the gym and our first step is an update to our classes.

Getting back into a stretching & balancing vinyasa flow after recovering from covid. Yoga is such an amazing way of gently moving the body, using the breath & strengthening the heart & mind 🧘‍♀️

Classes this week at The Hub - outdoors in the Sensory Garden, weather permitting ☀️

Monday 5:20-6pm, Vinyasa
Wednesday 6-6:45pm, HIIT & Flow
Friday 6-6:45pm, Yin

Today I began the Wim Hof method and followed the afternoon tasks with some Yoga in the garden 🧘‍♀️ 🪴

Deep breathing, cold showers 🥶, stretching & balancing exercises to help calm, centre, destress and energise....so far, so good (and I didn’t faint, even if the camera did!)

Work hard...play hard...REST

We’re very good at continually pushing ourselves, but we’re not quite so good at resting well.

When we rest, we allow our bodies the time to process all the activity they’ve been through...to repair...to strengthen...and to RESTORE. And we give our minds time to process events, to order them in our thoughts and to settle...to find PEACE.

Without the rest, our minds & bodies never feel or gain the full benefit of all the hard work & experiences.

So do yourself, your mind & your body a favour and REST!

Dynamic Yoga - back to the mat after a 2 week holiday and it feels good!

We often look for feelings of connection externally - sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes (thank you lockdown) it’s not attainable.

We can also look for meaning & purpose outside of ourselves - the things that we do, the things that we have....
But still there’s a level of discontent.

And so we feel a sense of longing - a need for more & a feeling that things just aren’t quite enough....

Coming back to the mat, back to the body, back to the breath, back to ourselves reminds us that the deepest connection is the one we have with ourselves....the deepest sense of meaning & purpose resides within us....and that all of creation is equal - there’s no such thing as less or more....

It’s good to be reminded of these things...♥️
