What a fantastic evening at the Yarm and Eaglescliffe FC presentation night.

I was honoured to receive a framed home shirt from everyone at Yarm & Eaglescliffe FC. It means a great deal to be recognised by such a brilliant local club.

At David Knowles Funeral Service, we feel incredibly privileged to sponsor and support the Y&E and play a small part in what has been such a fantastic season. Being involved with the club, the players, volunteers and supporters has been a real pleasure, and if I’m honest, it’s made me fall in love with football again!

Local clubs like Y&E are at the heart of our community. They bring people together, create opportunities, build friendships and give so much to local families and young people. That’s why it’s so important for local businesses to support community groups, sports teams and organisations wherever we can.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved at the club on a brilliant season, and thank you again for the kindness and support shown to us. We’re proud to stand alongside you 💙

Last night at the Y&E presentation evening, vice chairman Guy Jones presented David Knowles Funeral Service with a framed home shirt.

David has been a massive supporter and sponsor of the Y&E for the last couple of seasons and we appreciate his support so much.

Support from people like David and local businesses is the reason seasons like this one just happend. We wouldn’t be here without you 👊

Thank You 💙

We have received this lovely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trust Pilot review over the weekend.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means a great deal to us and I am deeply grateful that you placed your trust in us at such a difficult time.

I’m pleased that we were able to provide some comfort and support to you and your family throughout the arrangements. As you so kindly mentioned, it is often the small things that matter most during difficult times and we always aim to ensure families feel cared for, supported and never alone.

I’m also glad the service was meaningful for you all and that the video link allowed friends and family from around the world to be part of such an important day.

Thank you once again for your recommendation and for taking the time to share your experience. Your words genuinely mean a lot.

Kindest Regards

David

We’re all set up ready.

Today, we’re incredibly proud to be supporting this year’s Dying Matters Week and as part of this we have been invited by Teesside Hospice to their very first Dying Matters Conference as part of an important national campaign led by Hospice UK encouraging open and honest conversations about death, dying and grief.

📅 Today – Tuesday 5th May 2026
📍 Teesside University Students' Union
⌚11:00am till 2:00pm

If you’re attending, please do come and see us. We have a dedicated area set up throughout the day where you can ask questions, have a chat, or simply seek guidance around funerals in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I’ll also be delivering a talk during one of the breakout sessions, focusing on the evolution of funerals, alongside:

• The role of the Funeral Director
• How funerals have changed over time
• Supporting families with Dignity and Kindness

This is such an important opportunity to bring people together, break down barriers and normalise conversations that many find difficult.

The event is free to attend and open to everyone.
