This is what works for me.

Not perfection.

Not cutting out everything I enjoy.

Not living like I’m prepping for a bodybuilding show.

Just finding balance…

And building habits I can actually stick to.

I eat chocolate most days.

I drink energy drinks.

I enjoy a few drinks socially.

I train 3–4 times per week.

My workouts are usually 45 minutes or less.

And I still feel strong, lean, athletic and confident in my body.

Because for me…

Getting in shape has never been about doing everything right.

It’s been about doing the things that matter most—consistently enough—while still enjoying my life along the way.

That’s what I want for the lads I coach too.

To feel good in their body.

To feel confident taking their top off.

To have energy.

To feel disciplined and proud of themselves.

Without their whole life revolving around calories, cardio and saying no to everything.

Because the goal isn’t just to get in shape…

It’s to become the man you want to be, while actually enjoying the life you’re living.

After tearing his ACL, Connor gained weight, lost fitness… and stopped feeling like himself.

And like a lot of lads, life didn’t slow down after that.

Busy running a business.

Dad of 2.

Long days.

Not much time to train.

But deep down he still wanted to get back to his best.

To feel fit again.

To look great again.

And to step back onto the football pitch feeling sharp, confident and athletic.

So we kept it simple.

My In & Out workout structure.

3 sessions per week.

30–45 minutes per session.

Get in. Work hard. Get out.

No spending your life in the gym.

No 6-day training split.

No plan that takes over your whole week.

Just a structure built for busy lads who still want to look, feel and perform like they used to.

16 weeks later…

27lbs down.

Abs showing.

A successful season back on the pitch.

Feeling fitter, leaner and performing at his best again.

You don’t need more time.

You need a plan that fits your life.

If you don’t enjoy the food you eat, you’re dieting wrong

We live in a world where delicious & fatty food is available at a moments notice

And it’s only a matter of time before you cave in to eating that food and end up stuffing your face

Which is when you say “I’ve fu**ed it” and you spend a week, or maybe longer, off track feeling sorry for yourself

If you don’t enjoy the journey, chances are you’re not making it to the destination

Because if you can enjoy it, you can stick to it
And if you stick to it, you’ll make progress
It’s that simple

Comment “DINNER” below for meals so delicious, you won’t believe they’re melting away your stubborn belly fat 🔥

You’re probably not out of shape because of Monday to Thursday…

Most lads are actually decent during the week.

Gym done.
Calories on track.
Water up.
Protein hit.

Then Friday rolls around…

A few pints.

Takeaway Saturday.

Hungover “f**k it” Sunday.

Then Monday:
“Right… back on it.”

And the cycle repeats.

That’s why you still look the same.

Not because you need to eat cleaner Monday–Thursday…

But because Friday–Sunday keeps wiping out all the hard work.

The lads who stay lean year-round aren’t perfect.

They just know how to enjoy weekends without turning 2 meals out into 3 days off plan.

That’s exactly what I teach inside SYLO.

Because getting in shape isn’t about avoiding pints, meals out or weekends…

It’s learning how to handle them without starting again every Monday.

DM SYLO if weekends are where it keeps unravelling for you.

The one that takes the stairs vs the one that takes the escalator 🤣

Everybody wants to enjoy themselves on holiday, I get that

We work hard all your round and save up enough money to make memories with our friends and family

But there’s nothing worse than wiping out months of hard work in the space of a week 😭

So here’s a few things I do to make sure you’re I’m staying on track, whilst having fun 👇🏼

1️⃣ Walk where I can 🚶🏼

I try to keep activity levels high by walking where possible. Some of the best sights you’ll get to see by walking instead of ubering 😍

2️⃣ Reduce meal frequency

Chances are your meals are higher calorie when you’re away, and you’re gonna overindulge too. So trying eating less often

I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks at home but I eat 2 meals and 1 snack when away

3️⃣ Opt for lower calorie drinks 🥃

If you fancy a little tipple in the sun, by all means! But if you’re dropping beer after beer, there’s a more efficient way to get tipsy on less calories

After a couple of beers, opt for spirits diet mixers. You’re looking at about 70 calories per drink, rather than 200 for a pint of beer 🍺

If you want my full guide to staying shredded in the sun, comment the word “SHRED”

Zak came to me at nearly 198lbs.

Carrying belly fat.
No visible abs.
Stuck in the cycle most lads know too well…

Go all in.
Overdo it.
Burn out.
Fall off.
Undo all the progress.
Repeat.

And the hardest part?

His life wasn’t exactly set up perfectly for fat loss either.

Travelling between countries.
Living out of hotels.
Moving house.
Weddings.
Work madness.

Most lads wait for life to calm down before they finally sort themselves out.

Zak learned how to progress while life was chaotic.

The biggest shift?

Learning flexibility.

Not perfection.
Not starving himself.
Not cutting out socials.
Not living on chicken and rice.

Just learning how to stay consistent even when life got messy.

Fast forward…

Nearly 30lbs down.
Visible abs.
Vascularity through his arms.
Stronger in the gym.
160kg squat during a cut.
100kg bench for reps.
And a 1 hour 31 minute half marathon.

That’s not just “losing weight.”

That’s looking, feeling & performing like the man he’s always wanted to be.

The best part?

He didn’t just change his body…
he changed the way he approaches life.

Structure over extremes.
Consistency over self-destruction.
Progress without sacrificing his life.

That’s exactly what we teach inside SYLO.

DM me “SYLO” if you’re sick of the all-or-nothing cycle and ready to finally sort yourself out.
