• Symptoms attributable to COVID-19 beginning in the last 5 days
• A positive PCR SARS-CoV-2 test for COVID-19
• Aged ≥50 years or over, OR aged 18-49 years with any known underlying chronic health condition considered to make you clinically vulnerable

𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲!
A massive team effort by the whole primary care network (Courtside Surgery, Frome Valley Surgery, Kennedy Way Surgery, Wellington Road Surgery and West Walk Surgery) means we have now vaccinated 6346 people from our local population. This means that at West Walk Surgery we have vaccinated 95% of our over 80yr olds and nearly 100% of our care home patients. Well done everyone

We are looking for healthy volunteers aged 18-65yrs who are able to help with our delivery of the Covid vaccine. This would involve helping steward patients through the clinic to ensure they receive the best possible care. 𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀. As we move back into lockdown conditions, please remember you can contact the NHS Volunteer Responders if you are shielding and need help. They can collect shopping or prescriptions, give you a regular friendly phone call or give you lifts to medical appointments.
You can register for their service on 𝟬𝟴𝟬𝟴 𝟭𝟵𝟲 𝟯𝟲𝟰𝟲

NHS Volunteer Responders is a scheme set up by the NHS and Royal Voluntary Service to provide much needed support to individuals isolating and staying at home during COVID-19.

This week we visited our care homes to give the residents and staff their first vaccination.

𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲. We are delivering the Covid Vaccinations in association with our Primary Care Network, a partnership between 5 local practices. We are initially inviting the priority groups in as directed by Public Health. If you are in one of these priority groups will will contact you to offer an appointment as soon as we are able to. Invites are dependent on vaccination delivery and clinic capacity. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you to our fantastic team at West Walk Surgery who gave up their Saturday to join other local practices to give out over 950 vaccinations to our over 80 year olds and some of our at risk frontline health care workers.
𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. We will continue to contact all patients in line with government guidelines to book you in too.

Following the relaxation of some of the recent restrictions, we are now able to restart our full range of contraceptive services including implants and coils. Please contact reception if you wish to book an appointment to discuss your contraceptive needs.
