Strawberry Gardens, our brand new Extra Care Living development in Yatton, is now open. The new court offers independent living with access to on-site care for people over the age of 55, with 60 apartments available for rent and shared ownership. Located in the south west of Bristol, a picturesque village and civil parish within North Somerset, local amenities include shops, a post office, pubs and transport links to the nearby towns. The court has been designed to provide fully accessible facilities for both residents and visitors, which include a café/bistro and hair salon for use by the community. There is also a residents’ lounge, activity room, treatment room and communal gardens for residents and their guests to enjoy. Shared ownership
There are 30 two bedroom apartments for shared ownership, with a minimum purchase of 25% to a maximum of 75% - based on each individual's financial position. 5 years ago this week Strawberry Garden’s opened for business, right in the middle of a Covid lockdown! Somehow we managed to move people in safely and here we are 5 years down the line celebrating that very first day! Thanks to Ukebox for fabulous entertainment, as always, and to the residents social committee and staff who ensured the party was a great success. Also, a big thanks to S J’s Pantry for the amazing buffet! 😋 Here’s to the next 5 years! 🎂🥳🍾🥂🎉

We had a fantastic turnout for our MacMillan coffee morning and we are thrilled to report that we raised a massive £310 for this fabulous charity. Thanks to all who supported this event, to those who made cakes, to a residents family member for the raffle prizes and to all staff who worked really hard to make this such a successful morning 🥰

Our residents “beach party” Summer event was a huge success! Everyone enjoyed a delicious fish and chip lunch from Oldfield Fish & Chip shop in Congresbury, followed by ice cream, seaside rock and candy floss. To finish off the fun Leighton John ended the party on a big high with his fantastic voice. One resident said “it’s the best party I’ve ever been to” and they all want Leighton to visit us again very soon. Everyone went home with a smile on their face 😊

Thankyou so much to everyone who came and enjoyed our Summer Fayre on Saturday! It was a brilliant day and the weather was kind to us! ☀️

We are absolutely thrilled to announce we raised £537.87 for the Residents Social Fund! 👏🏻👏🏻
A huge thankyou to all who donated, participated in games and purchased from all the fantastic stall holders, we really couldn’t have done this without you all!

A big thank you to all our stall holders, resident’s social committee members, staff and of course the wonderful Nicola Cox for entertaining us all!
