The clinic will be closed from 12:30pm on Friday 23rd May and will reopen at 9:00am on Monday 1st June.

Today I had the honour of attending the International Dementia Conference, having been personally invited to represent the profession of Podiatry to highlight the essential role we play in supporting people living with dementia within our communities.
It was an inspiring and energising experience to be surrounded by a dynamic group of individuals, all working tirelessly to forge meaningful change for those with dementia, their families, and carers. Hearing from international delegates was particularly powerful—shedding light on the cultural considerations in policy-making and care approaches across the globe. It reminded me how important it is to keep learning, adapting, and advocating for inclusive, person-centred care.
A heartfelt thank you to the Royal College of Podiatryfor their support and for providing excellent promotional materials that helped amplify our message and presence at the event.
I’m heading back motivated and committed to continue the work behind the scenes—developing guidance and support for professionals working with patients with dementia, ensuring we can provide the highest quality care with compassion, understanding, and dignity.

South Devon Foot Clinic owner Helen Jones M.C.Pod, graduated from Plymouth University with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Podiatry. Helen has previously worked within education and management and brings important transferrable interpersonal skills to the role of Podiatrist. Using an inclusive and nurturing approach to treat her patients, providing them with high quality care. Helen has experience of working within private practice and over one thousand hours within the NHS. Helen has also been recognised and awarded a Leadership award from Tomorrow’s Podiatrists for the creation of Footwear for Re-wear project, a venture to provide used footwear to UK and European refugees.
We feel passionately that Reflexology and other Complementary Therapies play an important role in dealing with today's stressful and busy world, whilst we do not propose that these replace orthodox treatments but they can complement conventional medicine nicely and help deal with the modifiable risks which can lead to more serious health complications such as high blood pressure.
