Aly has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years, of which, the last 13 have been predominantly devoted to teaching yoga. Aly is fully certified at E RYT @ 200 hours and is registered Yoga Alliance teacher. Aly has full First Aid certification and has full professional liability and personal indemnity insurance.
Aly's teaching has been based, mostly, in New Zealand, where she has spent the last 21 years of her life. Her teaching has been aimed to apply physical and supported alignment within Hatha flow and Vinyasa flow yoga practice. Her teachings have crossed many studios and health centres across the South Island of New Zealand and this has allowed her to work with a huge cross section of communities with all abilities, age and beliefs. Aly's intention has been to draw people's awareness to yoga and assist her students in cultivating their own practice.
Aly has offered workshops, classes and Masterclasses both in Christchurch and North Canterbury in New Zealand and aside from her group teaching, has also given one on one tuition.
Aly has returned to be settled in England, to further share her love of yoga and allow her to develop her own further education. Aly is based close to Colchester, and is teaching at various studios within the area, as well as studying towards her 500 hours of teacher training. Aly teaches in various disciplines, including Vinyasa Flow, Pure Hatha, Hatha Flow, Yin and Restorative and private tutelage. Aly also presents workshops and classes at private venues and yoga festivals in SE England.
In the spare time Aly has, she devotes it to travelling and to her two sons, Noah, 21, who lives in Melbourne, and Leo, 14, who is studying in high school in England. Aly's ongoing passion of horses still remains present and she frequently attends equine clinics, rider trainings and spends time with fellow equestrians to assist riders with yoga.
