Living with dementia often means communication goes beyond words. A loved one may not be able to tell you they're in pain, hungry or upset, but their actions can give important clues

Here are some ways to better support a loved one living with dementia:
💭Look for non verbal cues: pacing, facial expressions, tone of voice
🧠Understand behaviours: Agitation or refusal to eat could be a way of saying something
🥪Offer simple choices: Instead of "What would you like for dinner", try "would you like soup or a sandwich?"
