We had such a lovely day yesterday sitting outside, getting some Vitamin D and chitchating about life! 🌳🌞

We would like to congratulate Compton View Care Home’s, Kim Retter, on her recent win at The Leading Women in Care Awards ceremony, Kim won the "Leader of the Future" award 👏🥳
Kim says – “My inspiration for the care sector started over thirty years ago when l was looking for part time work as l had two small sons. I stumbled into care and never looked back, raving about the shift from the minute l got home.
I worked my way from care assistant to middle management before achieving my manager’s position. My belief is that on entering a home the resident starts another chapter within their life. I feel it’s time to make lasting memories for not only the residents but their families too. l am driven by making every second count.
We grant wishes and have a great relationship with the wider community; all families are encouraged to join in with all events. We celebrate life knowing we had the pleasure of supporting the residents in their final days. There are no sad songs- we sing ‘YMCA’, ‘Hokey Cokey’, and ‘You are my sunshine’.”
