A big day coming up in a few weeks within the first aid industry - updated guidelines are being published on Monday 27th October.

These guidelines are updated every 5 years (if it’s not Covid season) and is always interesting to see what the latest stats and statistics are surrounding CPR. Whilst any changes will take time to implement into training, this is a must-have document for anyone training life saving skills and it ensures that we are training the most up to date information to our learners

We’re pleased to announce that the updated UK Resuscitation Guidelines will be published at midday on Monday 27 October 2025.

The revised guidelines will reflect the latest evidence and best practice in resuscitation science across all age groups. They are designed not only to improve survival and outcomes following cardiac arrest, but also to enhance patient and family experiences through compassionate, person-centred care.

We’re full!! We had some many book on todays course, we’ve brought 2x additional trainers to ensure that we comply with our regulations of 1 trainer per 12 learners. This solidifies the fact that we are the go-to provider for all things first aid in the area!

As well as 15x learners yesterday completing their respective Emergency Pardiaitric and Paediatric First Aid blended courses.

Busiest week of the year!! And it’s only Wednesday 😰

We’ve already delivered 3 courses this week with 33 learners already through the door completing a range of Paediatric blended, Emergency Paediatric and Basic Life Support.

Today alone we have 35 learners planned across our Taunton venue and a school in Yeovil with 2 trainers attending.

Then we still have a full courses of Emergency First Aid tomorrow and Friday which we think will bring the weekly total to 92 learners!!!

🚗 The DVLA have added CPR and Defibrillator questions to driving theory tests from 2026!! ⚡️

💚 We have long felt that more could be done as other countries have a first aid certificate as part of applying for a driving licence and this is a great move to raise awareness and the need for early CPR and defibrillation in the event of cardiac arrest.

We think this is a great first step towards more people being aware and in turn should save more lives ❤️

We are saddened to hear of the events regarding a coach of school children being involved in an incident in West Somerset yesterday.

Our thoughts are with all those effected - children, parents, families, teachers and all the emergency services involved 💚

We’re out and about this weekend with training and events!!

Today and tomorrow we have a team of 2x medics on hand to at Martock Rovers annual football tournament- alongside our good friends at Cow & Apple.

Also we have a trainer in Cannington delivering a blended Paediatric First Aid course - and we’re jealous… they’ve got air conditioning!!!

Sunday we also we be sending 2x medics to attend the annual Summer Fayre at Poundbury being run by Age UK North, South & West Dorset. A great event with performances and entertainment.

Don’t forget you’re sun cream, your water bottle and hat ☀️🕶️🥵

So less than one hour to go before we find out if we’re working again on Boxing Day 🤣🤣.

In all seriousness, we’re pleased that Yeovil Town FC have chosen us again to provide the medical cover for crowd for the upcoming season. Working alongside their existing staff, this will be our 3rd full season with the club and we’re looking forward to seeing how the team perform - and making sure everyone goes home after a game

This week we’ve had the privilege of training x29 people in a variety of first aid courses, including Emergency First Aid, Basic Life Support and Blended First Aid at Work! Most of that has been at customer premises in Yeovil and our adopted home of Yeovil Town FC but we did venture out to Henstridge too!

But right now we have a team of 2x medics at Yeovil Town Council’s Super Saturday, with lots of activities free for children and plenty of music by local performers. We’re here till 4pm so pop and say hello if you’re in Yeovil!

And we've left this fantastic review until now. Steve recently attend a requalification of his First Aid at Work course, and on the QT said this was his 8th renewal. That's what makes this review all the more special - we think this speaks for itself

It’s been another great day at Ilchester Youth FC Tournament with 2x medics attending all day. A bit cooler and a bit windier but the action hasn’t disappointed- well done to all the teams.

A quick shout out to our next door neighbours Cow & Apple and Alfies ices - thanks for the food, very much appreciated 👍
