On our open course today, we finally got round to setting up the QCPR app that allows us to view our learners CPR in real time and give personalised feedback, which the group were really interested in and wanted to improve where required.

Looking forward to using this modern day tool to improve learners understanding and improve the quality of CPR achieved by our learners

We’ve been pretty busy this week, despite the weather beating us on Tuesday evening where we were due to provide medical cover at Yeovil Town FC.

This week, we’ve had a trainer onsite at Hinckley Point delivering the 5 day First Response Emergency Care course. As well as 2x trainers in Taunton on Monday delivering Emergency First Aid at Work for 16 learners.

As well as that we’ve been at Kingshill Church School in Nailsea teaching the primary school children some first aid skills. With roughly 100 pupils now knowing what to do in an emergency.

And finally we had staff from 5 different schools taking part in our regular blended Paediatric First Aid in Bridgwater.

With more of the same booked in next week, we’re also nearly ready to launch something new which could mean you get to book your onsite training with us within 2 minutes!!! Which saves customers a lot of time waiting for emails back and forth.

We can definitely say the time for rest has finished? This week already we have welcomed 24 learners, with a mixture of Emergency First Aid, First Aid at Work, Basic Life Support and Paediatric First Aid courses delivered across Taunton, Othery and Burnham-on-Sea…. And we still have 3 more courses this week including a sold out Paediatric First Aid!

As well as this we’ve delivered 5x more Cat Bleed kits to our friends at Bridgwater and Taunton College Academy Trust.

We’re definitely kicking off 2026 with the wind in our sails!

Whilst many small businesses are taking a break, we’re busy getting ready for the New Year by labelling up our very popular hand gels that we give to our learners on our courses.

We’ve also got some help today who have, of their own choice, put the Nintendo Switches down to help, with Sienna on labelling and Charlie on packaging!

So that's a wrap - 2025 has been a busy year and we're pleased to have been able to train 1,472 learners in so many different first aid, fire safety and manual handling courses. This year we have welcomed new customers to the Emerald family, as well as maintaining those who have stuck by us through thick and thin. Despite the efforts of some who tried to take us down, we're flourishing and doing better than ever.

A huge thank you to all our customers, suppliers, followers and anyone else who have helped us along the way. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Great to see another defibrillator and emergency bleed kit appear in Yeovil - well done to all involved Yeovil Town Council & The Duke of York - long may it remain unused 😉

The Duke of York is very proud to support Yeovil Town Council who have funded a defibrillator and bleed kit outside our premises.
Huge thanks to the council for providing such valuable pieces of equipment to our community.

Tonight we had the pleasure of providing a team of 4x to attend the Yeovil Xmas lights switch on, run by Yeovil Town Council and alongside our good friends at T.R.U Event Security and Consultancy. Peaceful from our end and now we look forward to the Xmas lights switch on in Crewkerne on Friday
