❤️‍🩹 Cardiac Arrest in the UK: Would You Know What To Do? ❤️‍🩹

Every year in the UK, thousands of people suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Early recognition, immediate CPR and rapid defibrillation dramatically improve survival rates.

The reality is simple: doing something is always better than doing nothing.

In a cardiac emergency:

1️⃣ Call 999 immediately
2️⃣ Start CPR
3️⃣ Use a defibrillator (AED) if one is available

Modern AEDs are designed for public use and provide clear voice prompts. You cannot “do harm” by applying one to someone in cardiac arrest but delaying action can cost vital minutes.⏱️

This is why First Aid training remains so important in workplaces, community settings and care environments. Knowing how to recognise cardiac arrest, deliver effective CPR and use an AED confidently can make a life-saving difference.
