When it comes to infant CPR, the right approach can make all the difference.

🫁 Rescue Breaths Matter! Unlike adults, babies often experience cardiac arrest due to breathing issues rather than heart problems. That’s why giving rescue breaths is crucial in infant CPR.

🔄 Think of it like a car engine:
🚗 A baby’s airway is delicate, like a fuel system that needs proper flow.
⚙️ Chest compressions alone won’t restart the engine; you need to add oxygen to get things running again!

💡 We break it all down clearly and confidently during our First Aid training sessions because knowing what to do in those first few moments matters.

🚨 How to Find a Defib in an Emergency 🚨

In a cardiac arrest, every second counts and using a defibrillator (AED) quickly can mean the difference between life and death.

But would you know where to find one if someone collapsed right in front of you? 💔

In the UK, you can locate your nearest defibrillator in an emergency by calling 999. The operator will tell you if there’s a public access defib nearby and how to access it. Many are in supermarkets, train stations, gyms, schools or even mounted on village halls or phone boxes in rural areas.

✅ You don't need training to use a defibrillator because the device talks you through every step.
✅ Anyone can use one and you won’t make things worse by trying.
