Burnout recovery is not big life changes.

It’s tiny nervous system resets.

Try these today.

👉 Exhale longer than you inhale. Two minutes.

👉 Step outside for five minutes of daylight.

👉 Do one task at half speed.

👉 Drink water. Pause before the next task.

👉 Write tomorrow’s top task before finishing today.

Small signals of safety change a tired brain.

Save this. 🫶

You’ll want it on your next overwhelmed day.

👉 Choose a card that calls you...

Today, I am offering a 3-card reading. An invitation to pause, reconnect, and listen to your inner guidance...

Which card are you most drawn to? The one that gently catches your eye or pulls at your heart... 💕

1. RELEASE
This card encourages you to let go of something you’ve been holding too tightly—an expectation, a worry, or a responsibility that isn’t yours. Releasing does not mean giving up; it means freeing energy for what truly matters.

2. TRUST
This card encourages you to trust the quiet wisdom within you. You may not have all the answers yet, but your intuition and experience can guide the next small step forward.

3. SLOW
This card invites you to move at a pace that your nervous system can actually sustain. The world often rewards speed, but healing and clarity grow in slower rhythms. Let yourself move gently today.

One of the patterns I often see in burnout recovery is how much energy people have been giving away for a very long time.

Saying yes.

Taking on more.

Holding everything together for everyone else.

Over time, the nervous system can only sustain that level of outward energy for so long.

This is where boundaries become essential.

Healthy boundaries aren’t about pushing people away.

They’re about protecting your energy so that you can continue to show up in a way that is sustainable.

Sometimes the most compassionate thing you can do for yourself is simply say:

No.

This project didn’t begin as a product idea.

It began during a time when I was experiencing burnout myself.

Life felt overwhelming.

My nervous system felt constantly “on.”

And I realised how much I needed small moments of gentleness during the day.

Moments to pause.

To breathe.

To reconnect with myself.

That’s where the idea for these cards slowly grew.

Each one is a small invitation to slow down for a moment and remember that even in the middle of a busy, demanding life, you can feel supported.

Seeing them here now feels very meaningful.
Because these cards were created from real experience — and from the belief that none of us should have to navigate burnout alone. 🌿

People sometimes assume that working with burnout means simply learning the theory.

But for me, understanding burnout has also come through personal experience.

There was a time when grief, overwhelm and constant mental fullness slowly led me into my own form of burnout.

It wasn’t dramatic.

From the outside, life probably looked quite normal. I was still seeing clients, getting on with family matters...

But inside, everything felt heavier. Inside I wanted to just go to bed and sleep for a week. 😳

Recovery didn’t begin with doing more or pushing through. 💕

It began with learning how to slow down…
how to give my nervous system small moments of safety and rest.

That experience now shapes the way I support people in my work.

Burnout isn’t a personal failure.

It’s often what happens when a nervous system has been carrying too much for too long.

And with the right care, it really is possible to recover. 🌿

For many people, burnout doesn’t look dramatic.

It looks like continuing with life…
while quietly feeling more and more depleted.

Still working.
Still caring for others.
Still showing up.

But with a mind that never quite switches off
and a body that never quite feels rested.

If that feels familiar, you’re not alone 🤍

Burnout isn’t a personal failure.

It’s often what happens when a nervous system has been carrying too much for too long.

And recognising it is often the beginning of recovery.🌿

When people first experience burnout, they often feel overwhelmed by the idea of “recovery.”

It can seem like you need to change everything about your life.

But the nervous system doesn’t usually heal through big dramatic shifts.

It heals through small, repeated moments of safety and pause.

Research into stress and nervous system regulation shows that even a few minutes of intentional slowing down can begin to interrupt the stress cycle.

This is why short daily practices — even just three minutes — can begin to make a difference.

Three minutes of breathing.

Three minutes of stillness.

Three minutes of coming back to yourself.

Over time, these small moments start to retrain the nervous system away from constant overwhelm.

Burnout recovery rarely begins with something huge.

It usually begins with something small. 🌿

Most people I work with don’t come to therapy saying

“I think I’m burnt out.”

They say things like…
“I’m just really tired lately.”
“My brain feels full all the time.”
“Everything feels harder than it used to.”
“I can’t seem to switch off anymore.”
“I just need to push through this week.”

But slowly, together, we start to recognise something.

When your nervous system has been carrying too much for too long, it doesn’t just feel like stress.

It can start to feel like exhaustion…
overwhelm…
foggy thinking…
irritability…
or the strange sense that even small things take more effort than they used to.

That’s often what burnout looks like.

And recognising it isn’t a failure.

It’s usually the first step towards recovery. 🌿

If any of this felt familiar, you’re not alone.

And your nervous system isn’t broken — it may simply be asking for something different. 🤍

👉 Choose a card that calls you...

Today, I am offering a 3-card reading. An invitation to pause, reconnect, and listen to your inner guidance...

Which card are you most drawn to? The one that gently catches your eye or pulls at your heart... 💕

1. PERMISSION
This card invites you to give yourself the permission you may have been waiting for. Permission to rest, to change direction, to say no, or to take care of yourself. You do not need approval to honour what you need.

2. SPACE
This card suggests creating room in your day, your mind, or your commitments. Space allows breath, perspective, and recovery. Even small pockets of openness can make life feel lighter.

3. SOFTEN
This card encourages a gentle loosening. Perhaps you’ve been holding tension in your thoughts, your body, or your expectations. See what happens if you soften your grip just a little. Sometimes softness creates the space healing needs.

Sometimes burnout doesn’t look dramatic.

It looks like still functioning…
still showing up…
still getting things done.

But inside everything feels heavier than it used to.

You might notice:
• your mind never quite switches off
• small decisions feel exhausting
• you feel “tired but wired”
• you’re holding a lot emotionally

This is often how burnout quietly begins.

I created a gentle free guide to help people understand what’s happening in their nervous system — and how to start calming it.
