You’re tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix

You wake up tired
even after a full night’s sleep

Your mind is already running
before your day begins

You never fully switch off

So rest doesn’t really land

This isn’t a sleep problem

It’s a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe to rest

And that can change

This is the work I do 🤍

If your body has been in survival mode for long enough,
stillness doesn’t feel relaxing.

It feels uncomfortable.

So you scroll.

You overthink.

You stay “on.”

Not because you want to—
but because slowing down doesn’t feel safe yet.

That’s why “just relax” has never worked.

You’re not bad at relaxing. Your system just hasn’t learned it yet 🤍

Comment “calm” if this resonates and grab the free download in my bio x Di

You go to bed tired…
and wake up tired.

Not just physically.

It’s like your body never fully switches off.

Your mind is still running
even when you’re resting.

So sleep doesn’t really touch it.

This isn’t about needing more rest.

It’s about your nervous system
not feeling safe enough to drop into it.

You’re not doing rest wrong.

Your body just hasn’t learned how to feel safe in it yet 🤍

Follow for more like this x

If your body has been in survival mode for a long time,
stillness doesn’t feel relaxing.

It feels… uncomfortable.

So you reach for your phone.

You overthink.

You stay busy.

Not because you want to—
but because slowing down doesn’t feel safe yet.

That’s why “just relax” has never worked for you.

You’re not bad at relaxing.

Your system just hasn’t learned that it’s allowed to 🤍

Comment “calm” if this hit—you’re not alone in this.

It looks like overthinking.

But underneath it is something much more intelligent—
Protection 🫶

Your brain is trying to keep you safe by predicting, rehearsing, refining.

It’s not working against you.

It’s working overtime for you.

The shift isn’t “think less.”

It’s helping your body feel like it doesn’t have to stay on guard anymore 🌿

That’s when the noise softens.

If you felt seen reading this… that’s your sign 🤍

Comment QUIET and I’ll show you how we work with this (not against it) ✨

I really believed burnout was something I had to fight my way out of.

Fix the habits.
Get more disciplined.
Be better at resting.

But the harder I tried… the more stuck I felt.

Because underneath all of it, my nervous system didn’t feel safe.

And no amount of productivity hacks can override that.

The shift didn’t come from doing more.

It came from softening.
Listening.
Letting my body come out of survival mode—slowly, gently, in its own time. 🤍

That’s the work I do now.
Not forcing change… but creating the conditions where change can actually happen.

If you’re in burnout right now, you’re not doing it wrong.

You’re just trying to solve it in a way that your body can’t respond to.

So I put together something simple to help you start shifting this… gently.

It’s a free reset you can come back to when everything feels like too much.
No pressure. No overwhelm. Just a place to begin. 🌿

You’re not doing rest wrong.

Your body just hasn’t learned how to feel safe in it yet.

That’s a very different problem—and a solvable one 🤍

If this is you, you’ll want to stay here. I talk about this a lot. My free download is in my bio x

I’ve been wanting a quieter space to write for a while.

Somewhere I can share what I’m actually seeing in the therapy room—without reducing it to quick tips or soundbites.

So I’ve started writing there.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, or like you’ve been holding too much for too long, you might find something that helps.

You’re very welcome to join me.

I'll pop the link in my bio and in the comments... x Di

It wasn’t about adding more—more about softening it.

Creating a little extra space. Letting it meet you more gently, especially on the days where everything feels like too much.

If you’ve been feeling stretched, tired, or just a bit “full”… this version was shaped with that in mind.

If you’ve downloaded it before, you might notice it lands differently now. And if you haven’t, it’s a simple place to begin—no effort required, just something steady to return to.

You can download the updated version in my bio...

If you do open it, I’d love to know what part stays with you. 🫶
