Evening all 👋🏻 As I’ve welcomed quite a few new clients recently, I thought I would do a little intro into how I can help you, and what Flex Soft Tissue Therapy is all about 💡

More just “Sports Massage”, I provide assessment, treatment and management for Soft Tissue injuries, pain and dysfunction. Treating problematic areas through manipulation of the Soft Tissues, using advanced massage techniques to identify underlying cause of injury and provide long-term improvements in physical wellbeing and injury prevention.

I’m a keen gym-goer and netballer and lead a busy life outside of work, so I understand the demands that training, sport and everyday life can have on the body. I work with people from all walks of life, from professional sportsmen and women, to those suffering with occupational and postural issues.

I offer complimentary, initial assessments and postural analysis appointments, so please do get in touch if you need some help 👇🏻

❓Tendinitis
❓Tendinosis
❓Tendinothapy

What are the differences? Something I often get asked by clients when they’ve Googled their symptoms 😉 or, they’ve been diagnosed officially by their GP. Although they all sound similar, they are in fact - not!

🔸 Tendinitis usually refers to the inflammation and irritation of the tendon, often due to overuse.

👉🏻 This can take anywhere from a few days to up to 6 weeks to heal and usually comes down to rest and recovery.

🔸 Tendinosis refers to the degeneration of the tendon, often without inflammation.

👉🏻 This can take as little as 6 weeks to as long as 6-9 months to heal, depending on the stage of degeneration when treatment starts.

🔸 Tendinopathy is more of the generic term used to diagnose tendon pains.

👉🏻 Often this is irreversible as the tendon has undergone a chemical change and thickened.
