One of our talented chefs created a beautiful and delicious cake to gift to St Michael’s and All Angels Church for their Mother’s Day service. It was wonderful to see both children and adults enjoying it so much -and we were especially honoured that their special guest, Anne, the Archdeacon of Wells, loved it too!

We’re always grateful for the warm connections we share with our community. It’s a pleasure to continue welcoming Reverend Sarah from St Michael’s and All Angels Church, along with Ruth from St Michael’s and St Mark’s, into our home.

🌿 Supporting Local Businesses 🌿

Chloe, our Customer Relationship Manager, recently visited Palmers Garden Centre to build relationships with local businesses in our community.

Some of our residents have already enjoyed visiting the garden centre for lunch and a look around, and it’s always a lovely outing for them.

As a small token of our appreciation, Chloe brought along a hamper of goodies for the staff to enjoy. 🍪☕

We look forward to organising more outings for our residents at Palmers and continuing to support wonderful local businesses in our community. 💚

We’re so pleased to share that Reverend Sarah Lloyd from St Michael and All Angels, Yeovil, will continue to visit us regularly at Potter House.

Her visits will be shaped around our residents’ individual interests and preferences - sometimes this may be a short service, and other times simply a friendly chat over a warm cup of tea. It’s all about meaningful connection and personal choice.

And of course, she doesn’t come alone! 🐾 Her wonderful therapy dog Dougan joins her and never fails to bring smiles, comfort and plenty of fuss from everyone.

We’re really looking forward to these regular visits and the warmth, companionship and reassurance they bring to our home. 💙

Just a reminder that Coffee with a Copper is happening tomorrow at Potter House from 9:30am–10:30am! ☕👮‍♂️

Head on down for a friendly chat with our local police officers, enjoy some lovely hot beverages, and of course, a slice of cake! 🍰

It’s a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and spend time together in a relaxed setting. We look forward to seeing you there! 😊

It was a busy Wednesday at Potter House last week as we welcomed Jon from JR Recliners with his fantastic pop-up shop! 👞✨

Residents enjoyed browsing the large selection of shoes and slippers on offer, and there were definitely a few happy purchases made. Everyone was so impressed with the variety and comfort available.

We’re hoping to welcome Jon back again in the autumn and look forward to another successful visit! 🍂

We recently visited Mudford Rec Cafe, a lovely local café surrounded by beautiful greenery in the heart of Yeovil 🌿☕

Just around the corner, there’s a fantastic community hub where local professionals come together to discuss all things Yeovil and share ideas to support our town. It’s always so inspiring to see collaboration happening right on our doorstep!

We’ll be sure to invite these amazing professionals to our next Breakfast for Professionals event. We’re already looking forward to bringing everyone together again (with the best bacon sanwiches and pastries, too!)

We recently visited The Hub in Yeovil to say a big thank you for all the incredible hard work they do and the positive impact they have on our local community.

We delivered some delicious chocolates as a small token of our appreciation and had the chance to chat to some of the young people about the amazing services they provide for people in Yeovil, including their lovely cafe! It was wonderful to hear more about the difference they make every single day.

We’re so grateful for everything they do and hope to visit them again soon! 💛

A few of our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon out at the The Royal Marines Association Concert Band & Yeovilton Military Wives Choir concert yesterday🎶

It was a great few hours filled with everything from marches and classical favourites to West End hits and popular songs. The band and choir coming together for the Last Night of the Proms finale was a real highlight!

Plenty of smiles all round 😊 we are looking forward to organising our next outing!

We were so excited to welcome Phoenix Voices Choir to Potter House for their very first choir session with us! 🎶

The room was filled with energy as everyone joined in with plenty of fun vocal warm-ups, followed by a wonderful mix of classic favourites and modern hits. “Walking on Sunshine” was definitely one of our residents’ top picks, you could see the smiles all around! ☀️

A huge thank you to the choir for such a joyful afternoon. We’re already looking forward to welcoming them back next week for more music! 💛
