🦉When Siblings’ Needs Clash – Wise Workshop 🦉

We’re pleased to share that our When Siblings’ Needs Clash workshop has been rescheduled for next Monday.

We’re really sorry about the internet issues during the last session, so we’re running the workshop again, this time fully online to keep things smooth and accessible.
If you have a household with more than one neurodivergent child, you’ve probably experienced moments where their needs clash. Maybe you have a seeker and an avoider who set each other off… or perhaps family days out just feel like too much?

**Public Statement**

It has come to our attention that a local primary healthcare provider has shared information on their social media channels regarding the Right to Choose pathway. Unfortunately, this information includes inaccuracies, particularly in relation to ratification processes and medication.

We have formally contacted the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to request that this matter is reviewed and addressed as a matter of urgency, to ensure that families and professionals receive clear and accurate guidance.

We continue to work collaboratively with the Children and Young People’s Neurodevelopmental Team, Somerset ICB, and Somerset Council to develop a clear and consistent position statement on Right to Choose. This will sit alongside existing position statements on demand avoidance, private assessments, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder within the Somerset SEND Local Offer.

These position statements are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in local and national practice, ensuring that parent carers have access to reliable, up-to-date information about what they can expect from services.
