You are very good at pushing through.

You override tiredness.
You minimise tension.
You tell yourself you’ll slow down once everything is done.

But your body doesn’t respond to logic.
It responds to safety.

When you stop proving how capable you are…
when you step into a space where nothing is required from you…

your nervous system recalibrates.

Shoulders that have been bracing for months soften without being told.
Breath moves lower.
Sleep deepens.
Irritability eases.

Not because you became more disciplined.

Because you finally felt held.

There is a version of you that isn’t constantly managing everything.

There’s a kind of tired that winter brings that rest alone doesn’t always touch.

The tired of holding everything together.
Of pushing through darker days.
Of being fine when your body is asking for warmth, slowing, and care.

On Friday 30th January, I’m hosting Nourish and Connect in Ouse, , from 7-9pm.

This is an evening to be met, not managed.

—> We’ll move through a winter-themed yoga and relaxation practice designed to support the body rather than stretch it.
—> We’ll explore simple, seasonal self care that makes sense for this time of year.
—> And we’ll share a warm, nourishing supper together, so no one leaves hungry or rushed back into their evening.

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to have it together.
You don’t need to know what you need before you arrive.

Just come as you are and let the load come off for a while.

Treading into January slowly and with lots of layers 🄶

If like me, your still in winter hibernation mode, that is ok and you don’t have to feel filled with new year, new me vibes.

It’s ok to step into the new year slowly.

For when your ready here’s what I’ve got running this month to ease the heaviness of winter ā¬‡ļø

• Move Well Yoga and Deep Rest classes in Mon 7pm, Weds 7pm and Fri 10am

• 25-27th Jan Winter Yin & Yang Retreat Twin & Private occ places available.

• Feel Well Friday Workshop 30th Jan 7-9pm Winter Nourish & Connect an evening of gentle winter movement and meditation followed by seasonally inspired supper at Linton on Ouse.

• 1:1 Destress Acupuncture & Skin glow facials on Fridays & Saturday mornings - various appointment times available.

Reschedule your rest.
Turn up for everyone else except YOU!

You keep everything running and call that balance.

But when your own body asks for something…You say ā€œnot now.ā€

If there was an award for I’ll get to it once life slows down you would have a cupboard full šŸ™ˆ so let’s not keep adding to it!

How about instead an award for not having to hold it all, all the time.
Not needing to earn care first.
Not being the strong one for a moment.
