🇬🇧 Wishing everyone a very Happy St George’s Day from all of us at Lavender Fields Care Village! 🇬🇧

Our hub was full of patriotic spirit as we decorated with the cross of St George to celebrate England’s Patron Saint. Residents and team members came together to share stories, reflect on what makes England so special and reminisce about much-loved traditions.

It was a lovely day bringing everyone together and celebrating in true English style. 🎉

We were delighted to host a special afternoon tea yesterday in aid of the Mayor of Pocklington's Charity Appeal and our sincere thanks go to the Mayor of Pocklington for his support.

We had a lovely afternoon with our friends from Dementia Forward and it was such a great way for us all to show our support for this fantastic charity. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We had such a treat this weekend when the wonderful The Hollywood Sisters joined us to provide musical entertainment 🎶✨

Bringing all the glam, personality and beautiful singing voices, they truly blew us away with their performance! 💃🎤 It was a joy to see everyone smiling, singing along and getting their toes tapping.

A big thank you to the Hollywood Sisters for such a memorable visit—we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! 💖

We’re absolutely delighted to share some fantastic news!

Following an environmental health inspection this week, we are proud to have achieved a Level 5 Food Hygiene rating.

At Lavender Fields, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene is something our entire team is deeply committed to every single day. However, a very special thank you goes to our incredible kitchen team ⭐ Emma, Ash, and Louise ⭐ for their outstanding dedication. Not only do they ensure the very best in food safety and hygiene, but they also create the delicious, nutritious meals our residents enjoy every day.

We couldn’t be prouder of the whole team! 💜

One of the most special things about living in our community is the friendships that blossom. 💜

It’s always so lovely to see our residents socialising, sharing moments and enjoying each other’s company.

We tried a different ball game today—and it was a hit!

Residents worked together to keep the ball balanced in the middle of a parachute by shaking it up and down… although a few cheeky participants couldn’t resist giving it a little kick from underneath 😆

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and great teamwork all around. Afterwards, we headed back to the Hub for some well-earned coffee and cake to recharge after all that fun ☕🍰

Group exercise plays such an important role in care home life—not only supporting cardiovascular health, but also bringing people together and helping to combat loneliness 💜

Our wonderful wellbeing coordinator, Virna, is always finding creative ways to make movement fun and engaging and today was no exception!

We had a fantastic time playing a game of “Granny’s Pants”,where residents tested their aim by throwing a ball into a pair of oversized pants 👖🎯 . The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of good-natured competition.

A brilliant way to stay active, lift spirits and enjoy each other’s company!

🐣💛 Easter Hamper Raffle Success! 💛🐣

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Easter Hamper Raffle. We’re delighted to share that we raised an amazing £152 in aid of SUDC UK, a charity supporting families affected by sudden unexplained death in childhood.

We had a lovely day out today at Burnby Hall Gardens 🌸☀️. The sun was shining and there was a lovely warmth in the air so it was the perfect time to enjoy some Vitamin D and treat ourselves to some icecream. It truly felt like the most beautiful spring day 💜🪻

Our lovely ladies had a wonderful time creating their own Easter bonnets, and as you can see, they look absolutely spectacular modelling them! We’re so proud of their creativity and the joy they bring to every activity 💜

We are thrilled to be hosting an afternoon tea event on Tuesday 21st April with our friends from Dementia Forward in aid of The Lord Mayor of Pocklington's Charity Appeal.

This promises to be a wonderful afternoon, with musical entertainment from 'Pull Down the Moon'.
