We are working with an established Poultry Farm that is recruiting for an Assistant Poultry Farm Manager, who is looking to advance into the role of Poultry Farm Manager in the short term.

A hands-on role where you will get stuck in from the start and have the opportunity to learn.

Set up in the 1950’s, family owned, with family values, this is a team environment where everybody pulls together. A dedicated team that wants the best for the business. They have three farms based around the Northallerton area.
In this role you will uphold and maintain excellent standards of environmental conditions for bird welfare, as well as monitor bedding, collate performance statistics, and record data, you will adhere to health and safety procedures/compliance and hygiene requirements.

You will need the ability to multi-task, have a keen eye for detail, and work to deadlines. Not to mention being a good team player, with excellent communication skills.

You will work under the direction of the onsite manager, and in their absence, you will be the next in line to manage the site. Previous experience in poultry would be advantageous and please note this can be physically demanding at times. A driving licence and access to your own transport is also required.

This role is integral to the smooth running of the business. Therefore, there will be some duties to attend to outside of core hours, shared with other team members which includes weekends. Overtime will be paid above your standard hours.
The standard working hours will be 39 hours a week, plus variable overtime as the role requires. Accommodation will be offered, following the probation period, a work mobile phone is provided.

A local family farm is hiring, we would love to hear from you.

Are you a committed individual and not shy of getting stuck in and working hard?
Do you want to learn, develop, and work for a successful farming business based in Northallerton?
If so, we know of a place and its hiring.
We are working with a small family-run poultry farming business looking to expand its workforce to help in the day-to-day running of the farm in Northallerton.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, with 39 contracted hours per week, working 7 am to 4 pm daily, less 1 hour on a Friday, plus paid overtime of up to 9 hours a week (EU Directive limits).
Duties will include but not limited to:
Maintaining environmental conditions for optimum bird welfare
Monitoring of automated systems and replenishment of bedding
Maintaining site hygiene and reporting of required maintenance
Adherence to Health and Safety procedures and compliance with assurance scheme requirements
Working under the direction of onsite Manager
Assisting with estate maintenance

This is a role you will be getting stuck into right from the start. You must possess the ability to work independently and integrate well as part of a team. Qualifications aren’t as important as the ability to be punctual, be prepared to learn, and have the desire to work on a farm. Experience isn’t necessary but a background in country life would be beneficial.

This is a physical role, involving manual work. You must be willing to work out of core hours [nights/weekends] if required. A driving licence and access to own transport are essential.

They will pay for any training and further qualifications if they feel this is beneficial to the role.

Are you a Service Engineer with sound mechanical knowledge?

Role: Service Engineer
Location: Haydock, Merseyside
Hours: Permanent, Monday to Friday, with some on call
Salary: Competitive, £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Our client offers engineering services to the Milling and Pelleting industries throughout the U.K. and due to sustained growth, they are currently seeking to employ a Service Engineer to join their wonderful team of professionals. This role will be based from Haydock, but some time will be remote working, on the road.

As part of the Maintenance and Servicing Team, the candidate will hold an Engineering based qualification and have sound mechanical knowledge with ideally, a minimum of two years of relevant experience gained in a heavy industrial environment. Expertise in general mechanical maintenance is essential.

The Service Engineer will be based at their refurbishment facility but there will be a requirement to travel to other facilities throughout the U.K. occasionally. Mobility is key to this role with flexibility to occasional weekend work when required.

The candidate will be required to:

Provide general maintenance services to Animal feed and Biomass milling plants throughout the UK.
Carry out refurbishment & upgrades of used equipment at our refurbishment facility
Have a practical approach to fault finding together with a sound understanding of preventative maintenance is required.
Attending customer sites with service personnel for completion of key equipment servicing, maintenance, and breakdowns.
Identify opportunities to add additional value to customers by identifying capacity constraints and underperforming equipment, clearly communicating this to the customer and to our engineering and sales team colleagues for follow up.
Ability to manage time and perform duties to strict customer driven deadlines.
Successful applicants will be expected to work as part of a flexible, committed, self-motivated maintenance and servicing team

They are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organise production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure the goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner. You will have the responsibility to ensure the factory is fully planned and forecasted to meet the expected output of the business to achieve its expected growth target.

This is a hands-on role and your ownership includes:

• Determine ingredients and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
• Scheduling the usage of production ingredients and materials to ensure optimal levels.
• Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise.
• Build and share the weekly production plan with all operations team.
• Ensure the production of all products has enough stock to supply the demand.
• Readjust the production plan when targets are not achieved.
• Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
• Ensure that the collections have the necessary products to supply the most urgent demand.
• Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
• Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.).
• Raise to COO any stock/production issues that can impact other company departments.
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, warehouse, and office teams.

Who You Are:

• Proven experience as a production planner
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Enterprise Resource Planner systems
• Strong knowledge of data and statistics
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Google Suite desirable
