News about the X70 and 412 from 29th to 30th April.
Signs have gone out on the road to say that the road between Follifoot and Spofforth on X70 will be shut again for 2 days and also in Tockwith on 412.
After lots of days trying, we have now been told by North Yorkshire Council that we will be allowed through both closures, although we may have to wait to be allowed, so there may be slight delays to the services.

News about the64 for Saturday 25th April 2026.
From 1100 until 1500 we will not be using Eastgate to drop off at, or Vicar lane or York Street to pick up. This is due to the possibility of problems arising from some protests.
We will, instead be using stand 12 at Leeds Bus Station to terminate and pick up from.
This is ONLY on 25th April 2026

Once again there are a set of roadworks in Follifoot leaving too small a gap for buses to get through, so we are unable to serve the village today.
It really is about time North Yorkshire Council did something about this absolute shambolic state of affairs.
Leaving people stood at bus stops without allowing us to communicate to them is beyond comprehension.
We'd be interested to know if the contractors have actually told anyone that they were reducing the road to a size were buses can't pass- perhaps the shared brain cell was in use by someone else on this occasion.
We did try to get a bus through and took all the cones with us- the contractors made no effort to help (as to be expected).

We have waited as long as we can in the hope that fuel prices would return to normal, but we are having to raise our Capped fares from 20th April. Our fuel costs have increased by up to 45% over the last month, costing us over £9,000 extra per week.
Fares will increase from £2.50 to £3.00 for a Single Fare.
You can also buy a Capped Fare return for £5.00.
Bundles of 10 single tickets are available in our app. Mytrip by passenger.
Journeys wholly within West Yorkshire remain as they are at the moment due to the Mayors Fare scheme funding.

Urgent News regarding X52.
We are currently unable to operate the X52 on normal route as there has been an accident at the Hunters Inn and the road is closed. Unbelievably, the diversion route through Arthington is also closed due to emergency water works.
If anyone finds out that the main A658 has re-opened, please can they let us know so that we can re-start services as soon as possible (as no-one in any official capacity will tell us)

Yesterday I was interviewed by Look North as part of an article on the closure of Yorkshire Buses.
I mostly tried to get my point across about fuel costs rising, and our revenue being static due to being a fixed income. I did state that WYCA were helping but this was cut from the final airing- but even the help they are offering doesn’t go anywhere near enough to cover the increases we are seeing.
Our trade body isn’t shouting loud enough in my opinion, as unfortunately I think more will cease trading before the orange buffoons meddling in work affairs stops affecting oil supply.

Our services for the Easter period are listed below.
To summarise - Services 11, 22, 940, 961, 962, 965 will operate to a Saturday timetable on Good Friday.
No other routes will run on Good Friday.
Easter Saturday is normal Saturday service on all routes
Easter Monday has no services operating, then Tuesday 7th April returns to normal School holiday services on all routes

Theres an issue at York Station currently, with one of our Super13 buses being stuck behind it.
Cars have been turned round, but the bus is stuck - as a result we are not currently serving York Station on services 13 or 412

The road between Spofforth and Follifoot is due to be closed tomorrow and Thursday (25th and 26th march), but we are assured by North Yorkshire Council that all of our buses will be allowed to access Follifoot as normal. Hopefully they do as they have told us....

No1 son Jake is out in the coach today having taken one of the schools who we work with frequently to an adventure park for the day.

Great News!
The service 940 will now return to normal route from 18th February 2026 as the trees on Moor Road have finally been cut back to allow the safe operation of double deckers!

Good News - A friendly taxi driver has just let us know that Copmanthorpe is back open, so we are back to normal route on Super 13.
Also 965 in Otley is back to normal route too
