Section One: Witchcraft
Second Two: The Tarot

SECTION ONE: WITCHCRAFT

Is Witchcraft a religion? Witchcraft is a way of being. It is a choice to tune into Universal energies, particularly the Moon, Goddess, Mother Earth and Nature. Witches may also utilize ol

d traditional practices, ancient deities and celestial beings. Can anyone practice Witchcraft? To practice Witchcraft, you must be in the correct mindset. Your mind, thoughts and intentions are incredibly powerful and will need to be in tune with your desires. What good does Witchcraft achieve? Witchcraft helps you to focus on becoming the best version of yourself. Witches honour themselves, their loved ones and their community at all times. They respect nature and take responsibility for caring for Mother Earth. They accept the Universal Laws and absorb cosmic energies. Witches understand that there is much more to life than current understanding. Can Witchcraft control people? Whatever you hear otherwise, Witchcraft cannot be used to control anyone else. Likewise, no one can control you through Witchcraft. You can, however, use Witchcraft to control your own personal development / progress in life. Witchcraft helps you focus on your personal goals and improving your own circumstances. Can Witchcraft be used to cause harm? This is a complex question ! How to use Witchcraft to deal with the impact of bad and evil actions is a dilemma consistently discussed within the Magical community, and is a personal choice. First, If you experience negative feelings or results, it is because something is out of sync with your own pure nature. Witchcraft assists you to have inner strength to deal with negativity in yourself and others. For most problematic incidents and difficult situations life throws at you, spells should focus on healing and creating greater understanding and communication between the people involved. But what about more intense negativity, such as criminal activity or oppression? In these cases some people may choose to use black magic, or hexes to punish the culprit. Their spells are intended to direct harm towards their chosen subject. This is a no, no to many Witchcraft practitioners, such as Wiccans, who believe that what you give out you receive back in greater quantity. In effect they would be harming themselves by hexing or projecting bad luck on others. My personal way of dealing with extreme negativity is a bit in the middle. I never instigate bad forces, instead I transform them with deflection, protection and binding spells. The intention of a protection spell is to deflect negative energies away from the intended victim(s) to a place where they can do no harm. Alternatively the intention of a Protection spell is to return bad energies back to their origins, so the people giving them out are inflicted by their own negativity instead. This is different to a Hex, as the source of the bad energies was responsible for creating them in the first place. The intention of a binding spell is to prevent the negative energies being spread about (again), so they cannot influence or harm other people. In all cases I transform the negative energies into light and return them to the Universal Source. Can I use Witchcraft to cast spells for other people? Yes; however everyone is personally responsible for their actions and decisions, so the outcome still rests with the person receiving the spell. Whether a spell is cast for yourself or another, it is essential that the recipient takes relevant steps and grasps opportunities to assist with manifestation. Apart from the odd occasion when your spell instantly manifests, Witchcraft generally guides you towards practical steps and opportunities which bring your desires to you. Will I have to dance naked under the Moon? It makes me laugh that this is nearly the first question most people ask? “Not in relation to Witchcraft” is my usual reply 😊. Personally, I do not need to undress to feel the energies, nor do any of my friends. However, some Witchcraft practitioner’s do find this enhances their magic, so if it is your sort of thing, go for it. SECTION TWO: THE TAROT

How do Tarot cards work? Each card has a specific meaning, and the order you choose them identifies an aspect of your life or a time frame. Laying the cards down in a specific pattern (eg: the Celtic Cross Spread) generates an outline. Often the layout helps me see the bigger picture. Cards can also identify several different topics during one reading, when considered with other cards in the spread. What is the difference between a Psychic and a Mediumship reading? I use both methods to give my readings. Psychic readings focus on the energies in a person’s aura. These vibrations are akin to telepathy. They can pick up on hopes, fears, desires and memories. Mediumship is in the realm of the Spiritual contact practiced by Spiritual Churches, a recognised religion in the UK. Spiritualists believe that we can create contacts between the living and those who have passed on. The Spiritual Churches aim to provide evidence of this, by passing on messages and information from Spirit people to their Loved ones on Earth. Not all mediums belong to the Spiritual Church, however our beliefs and practices are very similar. Do Tarot Readings predict the future? Sometimes the Tarot cards can show a future event. For example, 3 times they predicted my niece would be born on 1st April. She was born on 1st April. Usually they offer a guide, outlining the options and choices available to you. You have free will to choose which path you take. Do Tarot cards reveal things I would prefer to keep secret? In my experience, no. If you have private issues you would prefer to keep private, then they usually do not show up in a reading. If, on the other hand, you are wanting to bring something out into the open, your cards can reveal your secret. When reading for friends, I have come across big life events which we had not discussed, and they were delighted that I picked them up. What if I get the Death card! Ignore all the drama and horror that Hollywood creates around the Death card. In reality, it can be a very positive card. The Death card almost always does not represent an actual death. Usually it means the end of a phase or situation to allow a new one to begin. If you believe that spiritual energies can show us future events, why do you say "it is for entertainment only" ? As a charge is made for the reading, UK Trading Laws dictate that clients are told this prior to the reading.

“Half of me is filled with bursting words
and half of me is painfully shy.
I crave solitude yet also crave people.
I want to pour life and love into everything
yet also nurture my self-care and go gently.
I want to live within the rush of primal, intuitive decision, yet also wish to sit and contemplate.

This is the messiness of life - that we all carry multitudes, so must sit with the shifts.
We are complicated creatures, and ultimately,
the balance comes from this understanding.

Be water.
Flowing, flexible and soft.
Subtly powerful and open.
Wild and serene.
Able to accept all changes,
yet still led by the pull of steady tides.

It is enough.”
