🌷🎶 BABY and TODDLER MUSIC and SENSORY classes are in CLIFTON/ RAWCLIFFE! 🎶🌷

Are you looking for the perfect music and sensory class for you and your baby or toddler? Packed full of educational tips for your little one, high quality instruments and resources, plus some beautiful Spring music, Rhythm Time could be just the class you are looking for!

Tuesday classes are held at at 9.30 for Toddlers and 10.30 for Babies! Based in the fantastic Harmony Hub room on Rawcliffe Lane, this venue has ample parking, a playpark next door, as well as the Java Bar cafe and the new Clifton library just a few minutes walk away!

🪇 What is Rhythm Time? 🥁
Rhythm Time classes are music sessions for babies, toddlers or pre-schoolers led by a class leader, developing understanding of pulse in music, encouraging fine motor skills, and leading you and your little one through a series of group and individual music activities! We have lots of movement, sensory play, and interaction, as well as age-appropriate learning opportunities for your little one.

Our courses are designed to grow with your child, from multi-sensory developmental Baby classes, to Toddler and Pre-school classes which support the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and prepare your little one for school.

Classes are available for block booking at £7.50 per class; all bookings include access to unlimited classes around York which means you can go to extra classes for FREE where there's space!

🎵🐣🐰🥕 EASTER SPECIALS! 🐣🐰🥕🎵

After some requests, I'm putting on a couple of Saturday specials for Easter!

I have two age-appropriate special sessions including a super 30 minutes Rhythm Time class followed by Easter themed play time and snack! 🥕🥕🥕

When: Saturday 28th March, Family class 9.45, Baby class 11.00
Where: St Nicholas Church Hall, Wigginton, YO32 2ZH
Cost: £8.50 per child, siblings over 6 months £4.25 in family class (siblings under 6 months free)

Please note that if you are already booked into Rhythm Time weekly classes then you will receive this session in the final week of term (23-27th March!) as part of your usual classes!

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this morning for our Train special event with Trainmaster North & East Yorkshire !

We had so much fun with our maracas on an accelerating train ride, bouncing on a very bumpy journey, keeping time with our clock music and venturing into a multi-coloured twinkly tunnel!

The toy trains in the hall were AMAZING! And it was so much fun being able to come in after class and see the children loving playing (and riding!) on the trains!

I hope you had as much fun as we did!

Trainmaster North & East Yorkshire

🌷🎶 Spring 2! We have certificates and Easter eggs in abundance! 🎶🌷

As we continue the second half of our Spring term, we are super excited for lots of our exciting music! Toddlers will be looking at different world music (including bangra beats next week!), Pre-schoolers are going to be making their own string instruments and Babies have lots of lovely bouncing rhymes to keep feeling the rhythm and developing their language!

The last week of this half term will be our Easter week with our themed classes and treats!

We have spaces left available in some of our classes for the rest of this half term (5 week block bookings available as well as monthly plan payments- please get in touch with me to arrange this). 🎤 Rhythm Patterns! 🎤

Today I had a little toddler come sit RIGHT at the front just as we packed away our instruments, because he KNEW rhythm patterns were coming next! I know so many of our families practise rhythm patterns at home with their children, and absolutely delight in seeing their little ones 'baa baa' for the first time in class. It's a fundamental part of our toddler Rhythm Time classes, introducing different rhythm beats into their activity time and allowing speech development, not to mention the CONFIDENCE some of these toddlers have to come to the front! Rhythm patterns take a long time to develop and some of our young toddlers like to watch and learn, or just hold the microphone- and that is absolutely okay!

I love receiving your little videos of at-home rhythm patterns; they're such a lovely surprise to receive and a real boost to my day! This one of little W from last year though is a classic and it's brilliant to see her continuing her love for the microphone in class now nearly a year on!
