Today is World Mental Health Day and it’s a gentle reminder that caring for our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies.
Here are 10 small things that can make a big difference all year round:
1️⃣ Get outside each day, even a short walk can lift your mood.
2️⃣ Stay connected, a chat with a friend or neighbour can make all the difference.
3️⃣ Eat well and drink plenty of water.
4️⃣ Rest properly and give yourself permission to slow down.
5️⃣ Do something you enjoy every day, however small.
6️⃣ Limit the news and social media when it feels overwhelming.
7️⃣ Ask for help, it’s a sign of strength, not weakness.
8️⃣ Keep active in ways you enjoy, gardening, dancing or walking the dog.
9️⃣ Practice gratitude and notice one good thing each day.
