🚨🚨🚨IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨🚨🚨

Calling all lapsed SlimmingWorld Dringhouses York members and potential new members

City of York Council is working with Slimming World to offer a free 12-week weight management programme as a way to help manage your weight and reduce the potential risk to your health.

You are eligible for the course if you:

❤️are aged 18 years or over
are a young person aged 16 and 17 years (with GP/Healthcare professional recommendation)
❤️have a BMI 30+ (27.5+ for Asian ethnicities) - you can check this on the NHS website
are a City of York resident
have a home postcode in the national IMD (Index of Multiple Deprivation) deciles of 1-8 - ❤️you can check this at FSC Biodiversity's website

You are not eligible for the course if you:

*are a patient who has self-funded to attend a weight management service in the last 6 months
*are already funded to attend another activity or weight focussed programme

To register for your free 12-week referral please call Slimming World Head Office on the number: 01773 546144. They are open from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm

Absolutely gutted as I thought I’d done it but I’m short. So I’ll be proud of what I’ve done so far as it’s not always been easy but I’ve persevered and I’m nearly there 😊
This morning rather than making excuses I decided I’d go for a walk, I knew my route but then whilst listening to music and chatting to Abi on the phone my route changed and got extended so this morning I completed 4.4 miles making my total so far to just over 29miles!

The next mile will be completed tonight after work on the treadmill

I’m sharing this post as the lovely Megan is a member of our SlimmingWorld Dringhouses York group. She is a true inspiration and I’m loving that she’s challenging herself to a 10k … I know she will smash it.
If anyone could spare the smallest amount to this cause it will absolutely make a difference to those and those families who have been touched by cancer.

Cancer sucks and affects so so many families so hope I can raise a bit to help towards the fight against it! 💕
