Last Thursday we piloted The Sound Sleep Sessions and the feedback was amazing.
We shared a beautiful 2 hour session of guided meditation, singing together, feeling the wonderful benefits of the tuning forks and ending with a sound bath experience.
The primary objective of the session is to bring mums to a place of deep rest and relaxation. Once we as the adult can learn to regulate our own nervous systems, we can cope much better with the demands of motherhood. And when we are calm, it will usually follow that our babies will also settle. When you, as mum, feel safe, grounded and relaxed, it signals to our babies that all is well, and their little bodies and minds can relax too. You are their anchor; their root. When you are steady and connected, they can feel safe. If we want to calm our babies, we must first tend to ourselves.
In the session, we explored and experienced the benefits of singing, calming music and the vibrations of tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes and drums to shift energies and calm the body and mind. These different frequencies speak to our systems on a deeply primitive level, communicating waves of healing and calm.
After the sound session, we chatted and enjoyed a warming drink and a muffin, as per all of our classes.
I will be running The Sound Sleep Sessions on the first Thursday of each month at 12.30 in my studio at Riccall Grange- YO19 6QL. There are only 6 places per week so book in early.
£15 per session PAYG.
