💛💚💛Love is All Around this week at Baby Sensory York! We have been celebrating with our gorgeous Baby Valentine’s special. 😍.

Our session has been full of lights, textures, lovely movement and cuddles.

If you missed out, why not come along to our Easter Term which starts the week commencing the 23rd of February? Our Easter Term is choker block full of fabulous themed sessions including: World Book Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and of course our Easter Special. I can not wait!

If your baby is under 12 weeks old we also have our gentle, lovely Hello Baby class which will be starting on the 24th of February. It is a small supportive class with baby massage, baby yoga and baby reflexology. A truly special way to start your parenting journey.

Generations is a brand-new, Innovate UK–supported initiative from What’s On 4 Kids and we’re incredibly proud to be one of the founding partners helping bring it to life.

Generations is the UK’s first and only dedicated platform designed specifically to help grandparents and their grandchildren discover local children’s activities while also supporting activity providers to ensure grandparents feel confident, included, and genuinely welcome when they attend sessions.

As grandparents play an increasingly important role in family life and childcare, this project recognises just how vital it is to create spaces where every caregiver feels valued.

💚💛💚 Exciting News! On Thursday the 26th of February, Baby Sensory York is teaming up with Explorers Nursery at Queen Ethelburga School for a fabulous Spring Stay and Play session! I could not be more excited!! We are going to have a fantastic time celebrating spring with a Baby Sensory session and you will also get a rare opportunity to discover the Explorers Nursery.

I am so excited to share the amazing news that Dr. Lin Day has been named as one of the UK’s Most Influential People in 2026. She is such a huge inspiration and I am deeply honoured to deliver her programme to parents and babies in York. I could not be prouder to be a part of such an amazing organisation as WOW World Group,in general, and Baby Sensory and Hello Baby, in particular.

As we step into 2026, the year Baby Sensory® turns 20, we couldn’t wish for a better start!

Choosing toys for babies at Christmas time is great fun, especially with so many different products to choose from. However, deciding which toy will keep your baby happy, interested, busy and stimulated can be difficult.

As a starting point, the toy should be age and stage appropriate and purchased from a reputable supplier, like our own Baby Sensory® shop. We've put together some ideas to help!

Next year sees us celebrating 20 years of Baby Sensory!

In 1987 and three weeks after the birth of her fourth child Imogen, Dr Lin Day, Founder of Baby Sensory® set up Woodford Nursery School in the local village hall.

Activities involving touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste played a significant role in the children’s sensory learning and development at Woodford Nursery School, and in the later development of Baby Sensory®.
