Are you a kind, compassionate and caring person who is thinking about a change in career or maybe a new start within the care sector?
Stoneleigh Residential Home is a small family owned and managed home in the small village of Bielby approximately 5 minutes from Pocklington.
We are looking for a responsible and caring person to work night/day shifts supporting twelve elderly residents.
This will include working alternative weekends, covering holidays and sick leave when required.
Experience and level 2/3 diploma qualifications are preferred but not essential as training will be offered. Rates of pay will be discussed at interview, and will depend on experience/qualifications but will be in the region of £12.60 p/h. A pension scheme will be offered to those who meet the criteria.

It was another lovely afternoon with Rachel and her Purple Pig pals. Joining the goat, guinea pig, rabbit, ducklings and chicks were Ivy and Margot who were both smitten with their new fluffy, furry friends. Rachel took the animals to meet all of the residents who were in their rooms, and it’s fair to say that Audrey’s favourite is Cloud the Angora rabbit and ‘Frisky’ as named by Audrey, the pigmy goat 🐐 🐇 Look forward to seeing you again soon.

The Vintage Belles

Thank you to all who to attended the Bielby music festival yesterday helping to make the event a resounding success.

It was a fun day for all and even the weather was better than expected.
Our residents were able to enjoy the Brass band and the Vintage Belles singing familiar tunes from the 40’s.

Jeanie and Rowena joined in with the fun enjoying a glass of wine whist listening to the music.

It’s so important to us for our residents to feel part of the village community when we host village events in the grounds of Stoneleigh. A big thanks to all who organised the festival as these events require a lot of hard work and dedication to organise.

Some photos of a very special lady celebrating her 97th birthday yesterday. Jeanie had a lovely day feeling a lot of love from family, friends and her extended family at Stoneleigh. She enjoyed birthday cake and drinks with her loved ones in the summer house. Lots of love from us all.

Yesterday we took a trip to Burnby Hall Gardens to see the Water Lillies, feed the fish and finish with coffee and cake as per usual.

Our friends from Owl Adventures were at the gardens performing bird of prey displays and giving informative talks about the birds.

Jeanie, Betty and both Joan’s got to hold the Ural owl while the handler gave a talk on the bird’s habitat, breeding and feeding habits.

Obviously we did the obligatory fish feeding 🐟and cake eating 🍰☕️😋before arriving back at Stoneleigh in time for tea.
