Big thanks to Jane and Jill for giving up their time yesterday in order to spend the afternoon doing arts and crafts with our residents. Everyone enjoyed making Christmas wreaths for their bedroom doors whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine, and it was great to see the garden room filled with fun and laughter. The festive season is well and truly underway 🎅🏻🧑🏻‍🎄🎄🎄

Great to welcome back Sarah and Joy AKA Silver Sounds.
The Ukelle’s sounded great and some new songs with harmonies really impressed the audience. Looking forward to the Christmas special next month.

On Thursday we welcomed Helen with her mobile museum. It was a lovely afternoon reminiscing about all the items Helen has accumulated over the years. Football boots and footballs have certainly come along way since these were seen on the pitch, and it was the truncheon which belonged on the beat back in the day.

We all had a brilliant afternoon yesterday as Owl Adventures brought their feathered friends for us to hold, fly and stroke.

As always very knowledgeable and informative about the birds, explaining about their feeding habits, hunting capabilities and habitats.

The birds were all impeccably behaved apart from ‘Axle’ the Harris Hawk who had some spacial awareness issues, crashing into windows, plants and Betty.

Owl adventures thanks for a great afternoon!

Round two today, and what a great afternoon it was. The standard of carving gets better every year and today was no exception. There was some talented and creative ‘pumpkineers’ in attendance this afternoon, and their dedication in making their pumpkins as gruesome as possible was unwavering. Jo did a great job with her scary lantern making and the level of concentration was evident in all the participants.
There were prizes for best pumpkins over two age groups, and a prize for the best lantern. Well done to all the winners and a big thank you must go to our great team, these events wouldn’t happen without you all. After the carving, was our legendary tea party complete with party bags to take home.
Thank you all for coming and making it a great afternoon, see you again next year.

Competitive afternoon today as our residents enjoyed a game of dominoes. Rowena demonstrated her killer instinct as she showed Jeanie who was boss, all those years spent in pubs finally paying off.🤪🍷
Hope everyone’s enjoying the sunshine today🌞😎
