Got it done yesterday in 2 hours 15 minutes with the support of my amazing wife (she’ll kill me for that) really fragile today aching in places I didn’t think were possible, but thanks to all who have donated we’ve reached a target of £1280.00. I’m waiting a few days to see if anymore donations trickle in and will then update you on the final total.

Still time to grab some tickets for the Bielby music festival on Saturday tbe 30th August from 2pm in aid of Pocklington Rugby Club.

This is a fantastic event with some great bands on stage, so get your pic nic tables and cool boxes out of the garage and come and join us in the grounds at Stoneleigh.

Big thanks to everyone who has donated their hard earned cash to my chosen charity, I’ve been overwhelmed with your generosity. I’ve revised my original target of £500 to 1k and am well on the way to achieving that, so if any of you can find any coins down the side of the sofa it would be greatly appreciated if you can throw them in my pot.

Just the small matter of running the event tomorrow, I’m cramping up just thinking about it 😆😆🏃💪

We’ve almost come to the end of our new potatoes and they’ve been amazing. We used Audrey’s crop for our bbq last week. Garden and bedding plants are looking fantastic.

Meet our new residents, even Phil the pheasant popped in for a ganders at the tribe. We’ve had two wild mallards nesting in the duck house and early count is 16 ducklings between the two females.

Are you a kind, compassionate and caring person who is thinking about a change in career or maybe a new start within the care sector?
Stoneleigh Residential Home is a small family owned and managed home in the small village of Bielby approximately 5 minutes from Pocklington.
We are looking for a responsible and caring person to work night shifts supporting twelve elderly residents.
This will include working alternative weekends, covering holidays and sick leave when required.
Experience and level 2/3 diploma qualifications are preferred but not essential as training will be offered. Rates of pay will be discussed at interview, and will depend on experience/qualifications but will be in the region of £12.60 p/h. A pension scheme will be offered to those who meet the criteria.
