My own postnatal journey had a huge influence on why I do what I do today.
Rewind to 2014.
I was a single mum, with very little support.
I’ll be honest - I didn’t start exercising with real intention until my daughter was about 18 months old. Partly because I didn’t have the time or support… but also because I genuinely didn’t know where to start.
I used an app and did some strength training at home. Always once my daughter was in bed; and at that stage she was still a terrible sleeper. Every 45 minutes I’d be dashing upstairs to resettle her before coming back down to finish the session.
It was rewarding… but it was hard.
My body felt completely alien to me. I remember feeling shocked the first time I tried to squat. I didn’t have a programme, or a coach, who could support me through that chapter of my life.
And that’s exactly why I wanted to create what I have now.
A space that’s accessible to all women, regardless of their support system.
A space to meet other mums, feel supported & feel safe.
