We’re pleased to be able to offer people a freephone number to call in a mental health emergency. Contact your local crisis service on 0800 0516 171.

Calls to our existing 0300 number will automatically be diverted to the freephone line with a view to this replacing the number in the coming months.

Advice on what to do in a mental health crisis is here www.tewv.nhs.uk/crisisadvice.

On-the-go wellbeing support is available for new and expectant fathers living in the Trust area thanks to a new app from Dadpaduk.

The easy to use, free app gives fathers practical tips on things like feeding, sleeping and bonding with your baby as well as sharing information to help dads adjust to their new roles and cope with the physical and emotional strains having a baby can place on individuals and relationships. It also includes information on mental health issues affecting both men and women during pregnancy and after birth.

Dr Ahmad Khouja, medical director at TEWV said “New and expectant dads have a lot to take on board which can leave them feeling overwhelmed, stressed and low in mood. Having ready access to accurate, helpful advice can make a real difference to how they experience parenthood and their overall wellbeing.”
