What a lovely visit we have had from our friends at Sessay CofE Primary School.

Byland class came to see us to celebrate Valentines Day and treated us to some of the songs they have been learning.

After a sing song, we naturally had to have some cake and juice and then we got our dabbers out for Valentines Bingo.

We finished the afternoon by receiving some beautifully decorated friendship cards that the children have been making for us.

Our residents truly cherish these visits and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again for our annual easter egg hunt!

We have been visited this week by Owl Adventures.

Our residnets were mesmerised by the variety of magnificent birds we met.

All of our residents were very brave and absolutley loved seeing the birds of prey flying accross the room, hopping about and performing their tricks.

We are very excited for your return.

We have been treated to a visit from Pete Goldup - The Silent Disco DJ this week, who has proven that music really does bring everyone together.

Our residents loved getting into the swing of it and all thoroughly enjoyed having a boogie and a sing along!

A little bit about us...

Established in 1989, Riverside Court is a small family-run business where everyday individually tailored care is centric to our ethos. As a family business we like to be at the forefront of the care that Riverside Court provides and create close bonds with the residents that come to reside with us. Offering the highest standards of care in a warm and homely environment, we believe we can offer the individual care and custom-made service that larger homes simply cannot accommodate.

Residents enjoy a range of activities and outings on the homes own mini - bus, including destinations such as Braymer Ice-cream Parlour, Fountains Abbey, Pateley Bridge and rural drives over the Yorkshire Dales. We also venture to the Coast every year on the Yorkshire Dales Steam Train!

The home has two adjoining lounges where residents can relax, take part in activities, socialise or watch television. There is often entertainment in the afternoons which residents are free to join at their own will. The main lounge offers surrounding picturesque views over the River Ure and gardens at Riverside. The lounge areas are tastefully decorated with an aim to feel homely and welcoming.
