I have some incredibly exciting news to share! 🎉
Mini Munchkins has been shortlisted for a national small business award...and I've made it into the final 8 in my category! 🎉🌟
To say that I'm unbelievably thrilled feels like an understatement. To have been recognised on a national level has absolutely blown me away!
I’ll be heading to London next month for the awards ceremony (still can’t quite believe I get to say that!) where I'll be dressing up all fancy and meeting all the other inspiring small business owners 🥂
Whether I win the award or not, being in the final 8 feels like such an incredible achievement in itself 💖

A little round up of another gorgeous week 🤍✨
We gently introduced chest and tummy massage in Stage 1, supporting relaxation, digestion and body awareness. Our Stage 2 Munchkins had fun under the sea, with playful, guided stretches to encourage flexibility and natural movement development 🌊🧜♀️💪

I’m always in absolute awe of twin parents, and this week we welcomed two twin families into our MM community 🤍✨🤍
Watching a mama massage both her babies at once feels so incredibly special.
If you have twins (or multiples), you only ever need to book and pay for *one place* in my classes. Everything is gently adapted so you and your little ones can relax, connect, and enjoy the experience together 🤍

I'm currently enjoying some time away with my lovely family, so any messages & emails may take a little longer than usual to reply to 💛🌿☀️
Classes restart next week - all are fully booked, except baby massage in Rufforth, which has a couple of spaces left - it's not too late to join us if you fancy it 🥰

The dreamiest end to a class…your baby is peacefully snoozing after their massage, you’re surrounded by lovely, like-minded mums, and you finally get to enjoy a hot cuppa & a wedge of cake (with both hands free!) ☕🍰🥰
My next baby massage courses start next week, and there are just a couple of spaces left. It’s a gentle, nurturing space to bond with your baby and feel held in this season of motherhood 🤎

Paired with a gentle back massage, it’s such a lovely way to support both development and relaxation, helping your baby feel calm, connected and secure 🤍

I’m Laura and I run Mini Munchkins. I have two children - Izzy who has just turned 13 and Rory who has just turned 1. I first discovered baby massage when Izzy was born. She arrived 11 weeks prematurely by emergency c-section, which resulted in her needing to spend over two months in the Special Care Baby Unit in York Hospital. This was such a hard time for us and not the start in life I ever imagined for my tiny baby. Once Izzy came home we were finally able to really bond and my health visitor suggested we did baby massage together. She told me all about the benefits we would both receive from the classes and the extra benefits premature babies get from being massaged. The classes sounded wonderful so I signed up straight away and never looked back! I absolutely loved the classes and the special one to one time it gave Izzy and I.
Fast forward 11 years and I had my son, Rory. Rory, thankfully, was born closer to his due date and arrived 4 weeks early, meaning we were home from hospital within three days. I knew as soon as he was born that I wanted to attend baby massage classes again as I remembered how much I enjoyed them with Izzy. I spent a long time looking into all the different classes around my area, chose one and off we went. I massaged Rory every day at home and fell more in love with baby massage each time we did it. I could see how much Rory enjoyed it too and it was our special time together each day which I really looked forward to.
One day, whilst giving Rory his daily massage (it’s alright for some!), it suddenly clicked and I thought ‘I want to do this for my job!’, and for the next couple of evenings all I did was spend them researching how I could qualify to become an instructor. Within a few weeks I had booked myself onto an instructor course and ordered my massage demonstration doll. I completed my course and the day I received my certificate was the day Mini Munchkins was born and my dream became a reality!
I absolutely love running my Mini Munchkin massage classes and get so much joy from sharing my love and passion for baby massage with other mummies and daddies.
