After 2 hours of numbness and loss of function our patient presented at the hospital.
After various scans and investigations our patients condition deteriorated. The source of the stroke was from an embolism in the carotid artery.
She then developed cerebral oedema and required a craniotomy.
After a prolonged recovery time in ITU and weeks on the near ward, the doctors thought she was well enough to fly home.
After getting advise from the Consulate we were recommended to fly her home. We sent a nurse es**rt to assist her and she arrived safely and is now in a stroke unit in the North of England.
