✨ Celebrating 20 Years of Clifton Park Hospital! ✨

Last weekend, we marked 20 amazing years of Clifton Park Hospital, reflecting on two decades of caring for our community. As part of the celebrations, we hosted an Oscars‑style ceremony, celebrating colleagues from across the business, including those who have been with us since the very beginning. 🌟

It was a wonderful evening of recognition for the incredible people who help make our hospital what it is today.

Over the last 20 years, our team has been there for patients at every stage of their healthcare journey, from first consultations to follow‑up support and advanced diagnostics. Together, we’ve carried out:

• 167,167 follow‑up appointments, each one a step forward in someone’s recovery.
• 58,678 outpatient initial consultations, the very first conversations that set people on the path to better health.
• 9,196 MRI scans, helping us uncover answers and provide clarity when it mattered most.

These aren’t just numbers, they represent people, stories, and moments of care we’re incredibly proud to have been part of.

To every patient who has walked through our doors over the last 20 years: thank you. We’re honoured to continue serving York and the surrounding community.

Yesterday, our Business Relations Manager, Jess, visited York College to take part in their Speed Interviewing session for T Level Digital & Media students.

Jess spent the morning chatting with learners from Digital Software Development, Digital Security & Support, and Broadcast/Media courses, helping them practice their interview skills and explore the huge range of career paths available to them.

“Going back to York College was a real full‑circle moment for me. I studied Media here as a teenager and honestly never pictured myself working in healthcare. It’s funny how the digital and creative skills I picked up back then ended up opening doors I didn’t expect. It was great to share that with the learners and show them how far transferable skills can take you.”

Our Story

Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located just outside York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds, two theatres, a day case unit, a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy, including a small gym area. In 2018, the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities.

As well as excellent transport links, the hospital is 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre and has ample free parking directly outside the hospital.

Clifton Park is a Centre of Excellence for Orthopaedics and specialises in all aspects of orthopaedic surgery and care from consultation right through to your aftercare. As well as orthopaedics, Clifton Park also specialises in breast, face, body and male cosmetic surgery.
