🌟 A snapshot of our 2025 🌟

Alfie turned 21 🥳

Much needed freshen up in the funeral home 🎨

We did manage a Christmas do… in August 🧑‍🎄

Another niece 🩷

The furthest distance travelled for a family saw me and Alfie on a day trip to Slough, on the hottest day of the year with no air con 😅

… which inspired a little upgrade to the fleet 🖤

Meeting some of the loveliest people, who never fail to amaze me with their kindness at such a difficult time in their lives.

Thank you to all of you 🥰

The funeral home will be open by appointment only over this Christmas period, returning to normal hours on Monday 5th January.

Our 24 hour number will be available throughout, if you need us please call 01904622746.

We will be there next week as required, for general enquiries and appointments please call us and we’ll be happy to arrange a convenient time.

Once again we wish you all a peaceful Christmas, however that looks for you this year.

Today was the final drop of memory hearts for the Friends of Huntington Cemetery -New Lane’s Christmas Trees 🎄🤍

The box was very full at 4pm today but they have been going fast so I’m sorry if you do miss the opportunity. You’re all very welcome to bring your own decorations along.

Around 830 hearts have been donated this year between us and the friends of the cemetery! It’s a wonder the trees are holding onto their branches 🥰

Huge thanks again to Earswick Christmas Trees for their kind donation.

One week to go until this years Christmas Remembrance Service 🕯️🎄

We’ve had so many people get in touch this year 🤍

All Saints is a big church with plenty of seating but spaces in the car park are limited. For those who are able to walk there is ample on street parking along The Old Village at the top of Church Lane.

If we can try to keep the car park spaces for those who need them most it would be much appreciated 🥰

If you haven’t dedicated a candle yet you can do so by emailing reception@darleyfunerals.co.uk or calling 01904622746.

We will be taking last minute dedications on the door too 🕯️

The candle lighting will take place during the service. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the church hall ☕️🍷🥧 🍪

Huntington Methodist Church, York Christmas Tree Festival has soon come around this year! With the theme “Christmas carols and songs” 🎄🎶

Opening times for the festival can be found in the photos.

As always a lovely start to the festive period being a part of the setup. Thank you to Jill for being so welcoming and for the coffee and mince pie ❤️

Today marks 7 years since Darley Funeral Directors began 🎈

We’ve given the funeral home a much needed freshen up recently and as we put everything back in place we sat and read every card that we’ve received.

Almost 7 years of love and heartfelt messages brought back so many memories of the amazing families we’ve had the honour of getting to know 🩷

It will be 7 years on Monday since we received the keys to Highthorn Road… I don’t know where the time goes!
