- Prescription delivery with our popular and well loved delivery drivers (there may be a charge for some people).
- A doctor-free, drop-in travel clinic offering vaccinations and malaria prevention tablets without prescription
- Other vaccinations including: flu (NHS and private), chicken pox, shingles, HPV, Occupational Health vaccinations
- Services for minor infections providing assessment and treatment (if necessary) without a prescription
- A stop smoking service
- An erectile dysfunction service
- Advice and access to emergency contraception
- A wide range of compliance aids to help you take your medication
- Emergency supply of medication

We also provide a range of NHS services including:
- New Medicines Service
- Flu vaccinations
- Stopping Smoking
- Referrals from GPs and 111 for minor ailments and urgent medicines supply

Some of the Monkbar Pharmacy Minies have had a great and magical time on the Wizard Walk of York .

For added accessibility for any neurodivergant kiddoes and/or grown ups there is also a Social Story easily downloaded from the Wizard's website.

Do you run a coffee shop in central York, and perhaps aren’t getting the amount of people wand-ering in as you’d like?

I’m sitting on an idea, well actually a bunch of ideas, for a WIZARD overhaul of a coffee shop! I have no plans to run a coffee shop myself, but would love to partner with someone who already is.

I used to work as Creative Manager for Alton Towers to help create their experiences, and am FIZZING with ideas. You bring the space and coffee, and I’ll bring the MAGIC!

Today, our staff are wearing black, our shop is decorated black.

We are joining with hundreds of pharmacies around the UK highlighting the fact there is a state of emergency within community pharmacy sector and drawing attention to the growing crisis.

In England, 10 pharmacies a week are closing. Funding for community pharmacy has been squeezed over the last decade, resulting in a sector in very real distress.

We are CLOSED due to a police incident earlier today

We are hoping to re-open at 3pm today.

Please do NOT come to the pharmacy or call the pharmacy today, unless your need is very urgent as we are expecting to be very busy when we do re-open.

We will prioritising workload on the basis of clinical urgency.

We are not aware of any of pharmacy closures in the area today.

The nearest pharmacies are:

Boots Pharmacy on Coney St (open until 6pm)

Cohens Chemist on Gillygate (open until 5:30pm)

Due to an incident in the early hours of this morning, Monkbar Pharmacy will not be open until later in the day. We will update once we are able. We will be taking calls and emails, but we advise you do not call unless it is urgent. Thank you for your understanding and we hope we will be back open soon!
