Our page exists to help people in Yorkshire & Humber understand more about dementia - and to encourage them to become more dementia friendly in every possible way. We aim to share best practice and provide examples of how organisations have increased their awareness of dementia and made practical changes to ensure that people with dementia (and their carers) can continue to make the best use of their facilities or services - whether in shops, on public transport, at visitor attractions, in banks and building societies, libraries, housing associations, care providers, hospitals, sports facilities...... in fact anywhere a person with dementia is likely to visit.
