🌼 Allergy Awareness Week 🌼

Allergies affect millions of people in the UK and can range from mild discomfort to serious, life-threatening reactions. This Allergy Awareness Week, we’re encouraging everyone to learn the signs, understand triggers, and know when to seek help.

Common symptoms can include:
• Sneezing, runny or blocked nose
• Itchy eyes, skin, or throat
• Rashes or hives
• Wheezing or shortness of breath

If you or your child experience persistent or severe symptoms, please get in touch with our GP team. We can help with diagnosis, management plans, and advice on treatment options.

šŸ’” Top tips:
• Keep a symptom diary to identify triggers
• Check pollen forecasts if you have hay fever
• Always carry prescribed medication, such as antihistamines or auto-injectors

šŸ“ž Contact the surgery if you need support or have concerns about allergies.

Let’s work together to stay safe and informed this Allergy Awareness Week.

We know that our routine appointment waiting times are currently longer than we would like, and we sincerely appreciate your patience while we work to improve this.

In March, our team provided 1,477 routine face-to-face appointments—almost double the number delivered during the same period last year. We are making progress, and remain committed to improving access for all our patients.

šŸ’” How you can help:
Missed appointments have a significant impact on our service. In March, 51 GP appointments and over 100 nurse appointments were not attended.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, or no longer need it, please let us know as soon as possible. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient and helps reduce waiting times for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support šŸ’™
